hello,

i am very new to ags and i know this is not even a beginner's question, sorry if anyone is offended by it.

i just can't get started with ags, and i've read for a few hours, even the beginner's faq, i've been klicking around in the editor for hours and i couldn't find out nothing.

well, i could make new rooms.

so, learning for me is A LOT easier with something small to look at and to reverse engineer or to add my own stuff to it. so i'm looking for a very small game with let's say 3 rooms and 5 or 6 items to combine and open a door, another thatn the players character to talk with after having given him something and that's it.

i would LOVE to have something like that to start with, is there something like that to find anywhere or does anyone have made something like that?

thank you very much for your help!

AGS does come with a demo game, you could try that.
I used to make games but then I took an IRC in the knee.

thanks for your answers, openquest sounds exactly like what i'm looking for.

unfortunately the download now - link

http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/games.php?action=detail&id=945

doesn't work for me, do you or anybody else know where else i can download it?

the included demo game doesn't say much to me. it has no rooms, just one person, no items, nothing to do or to combine, it doesn't get me started at all.

thanks again!

Actually, the download link does seem to be broken. I see that the games author was online yesterday, so maybe a PM to him might be in order? Or perhaps he might repair the link, if he sees this?
Steam: LimpingFish
PSN: LFishRoller
XB: TheActualLimpingFish
Spotify: LimpingFish

thanks for the idea,
i had already written an email to him, but got no answer. i have now written a PM so maybe i'll get that demogame one day.
in the meantime, if anyone has that game or something like it, it would be very welcome!
thanks for all answers
