Alrighty, here it goes... I tried a not so obvious approach..

How do you like my exotic hanging jungle plant (for reference see: http://www.sdahldtp.com/jungleeyes1.jpg) ?

I hope the way I altered the shape is still ok - I only added the yellow petals and the leaf.

Where's Waldo? No idea, but he ran away so fast that he accidently lost his scarf which is now falling to the ground.  :=

3 colors, not *really* transparency. I altered the outline slightly (at the "head").

/EDIT: Wait, it's Waldo, not Valdo.

I went a little over the top with adjusting the shape  :-[

PS: I didn't brush my teeth twice yesterday  :-X

Here is my entry: a crazy looking bird
9 colors & transparency

I didn't alter the outline that much and I did have fun .jpgdoing it although it came out mediocre, but this is my 1st entry in a competition on the site so hopefully I'll improve.

O and I brush & floss twice a day. *Thanks OCD!... I love you, lol.*

Considering the outline is easily recognizable as having a shape similar to that of a snake, it's not unreasonable to think that someone might color it as such. No more so than someone coloring in a humanoid outline as if it were a HUMAN! :o

It's the colouring ball. Not the sprite jam. ;)

Is it really that disappointing to have only 2 snakes in here so far? Looking back to other rounds of Colouring Ball it seems that using the shape to create something other than the obvious often created very interesting results. But if it's really such a bother to some of you that there aren't enough snakes in here, I'll just see if I can create another one...

EDIT:
Ok, thanks Pablo for clearing that up...
Anyways, I want to enter another snake for those reptile-lovers out there...

I really don't care what's inside the outlines. It's really fun to see more original ideas. So, do whatever you want, it's still qualified in the competition. Case closed.

Or well, I don't know if I can qualify Buckethead's entry. You went a bit too far modifying it, sorry. :-\

Not to mention, Buckethead, that you didn't brush your teeth. That's grounds for immediate disqualification, as it's in the comp's rules.

I understand...

I should brush my teeth right now!!  Maybe I can come up with a better idea as an entry later.  :)

Okay, I guess I have to pick the winner now. So many clever entries here, wow. But unfortunately only one wins! This isn't easy.

In the end it was a battle between Simonsez128's jungle plant and MortisLively's cobra. They were both beautifully pixelled and textured. But this time I had to go with the snake which had such a well thought and implemented texturing. It just made it look so realistic with such a low amount of color.

So... MortisLively wins! Now go start a new one! :)

Also a special mention to Twirlly who seemed to be the only one who actually brushes her teeth twice a day. For that she's the only one here who deserves a trophy!

I present you...

Well, that was slightly unexpected. Thanx, my first ever entry and all that jazz.

;D Thanks Pablo I'm, sadly, filled with more joy than if I would have won, but I knew I had no chance and I got a trophy anyway, yay me!!! I shall display it proudly.
