Title: AGS Operas, shows and debates. (Edit: Gone now. Read first post))
Post by: Esseb on Wed 07/01/2004 09:20:12
Edit: Despite how little I use my domain I needed the space and removed the operas. I'll maybe host them again when I get my own server with more disk space but for now they're gone. Sorry.
-------------------

Since mods never got back to me about uploading them to screen7 I decided to put my domain to use for once:

http://www.esseb.com/div/agssongs/ (http://www.esseb.com/div/agssongs/).

32 operas, 11 AGS shows and 4 debates. Download all you want.

Actually I think this thread should be made a sticky in the competitions and activities forum, and hopefully we would get more quality new addition soon.

That's an idea, we'll have to wait for mods to move it.

If anyone know the title or author(s) of the songs in #unsorted, please let me know.

Thanks LGM and RE.

The names of the author(s) should be in the folder names Minimi, except for the shows. Mods did a fair lot of them however but they're uncredited untill I'm sure of which.

"AGS show produced by_____" is at the end of quite a few of them.

Heh, DragonRose quite clearly doesn't know how lazy Esseb is.

Great job, Esseb!
Perhaps there should even be some sort of rating system? Or is that too elitistic perhaps...

Also, a short description of each show would kick ass

This reminds me to update the dictionary as well

Rating system..? Sounds intresting... I don't have time nor possibility to see the shows (appearently neither the site....) now, but I'll see it later.. I could try to make some kind of rating system, if I knew the basic idea it should follow... in PHP.....

I don't think a rating system is needed. They're all meant for fun, there's no need to single out a few of them as better than the rest.

I'll see about adding descriptions to those I remember the story behind and get the shows credited.

Ahem... (http://www.freewebs.com/sweadventure/AGS%20Show%2014.mp3)
(Quite big, so be careful before downloading...)

Ok, I got a sinister urge to make a contribution to the AGS shows and did this thingie...
Featuring butter-wrestling, music, DG, and sith lords... :)
Hopefully noone will be offended...

Rincewind! Have you never heard of my little friend, the Zip file?  I've got high speed and it's still going to take me almost two hours to download as an MP3!

Heh why, mp3 files are well compressed so you won't gain much by ZIPping them anyways.

But yes, freewebs limits the downloading speed of files (to 1-2 kb/s I think) so it's awfully slow (I managed to get it, not heard it yet though), someone should have mirrored it in a faster space.

Dragonrose/Gilbert:
Well, yes, I've heard of .zip files, and I did compress it, but since it didn't do much difference, I didn't bother.
And freewebs is terribly slow, I know that as well... But it's the only webspace i have for the moment... Sorry...
Hope you enjoy it anyway!

The link to that pilot has fallen into disrepair and for whatever reason I didn't pick it up 9 months ago.  Anyone know of a mirror?

A mirror would be nice, yes.

I had it, and then said bye bye. And I don't know why...

Has anyone made a serious AGS radio show?

Why?

Just to hear the person's voice when they're interviewed?

Eric, then why do we have radio, when we have newspapers?

But surely this isn't the place/thread for such a discussion?
