Title: Animation Challenge 10/9-10/23
Post by: MashPotato on Mon 09/10/2006 17:01:50
You are walking in a park one day and encounter a rather humdrum little slug, slugging its way along its sluggy day... but all of a sudden, it does something absolutely, astoundingly amazing!!!

Animate that amazing event!

This topic is great, ill do mine tonight and post it tomorrow morning.

edit: this is taking me a while as my computer mouse is nearly knackered. I will try to do it tonight when I'm on my own computer.

edit 13th: It doesn't look as if im going to enter this one, i need a new mouse for my computer, I will try to either fix my mouse or get a new one in time for the next comp.

Well... he was going to do something absolutely, astoundingly amazing ;).

P.S. It's okay if this entry doesn't count as the slug didn't actually do anything amazing.

You walk down a park when, suddenly, a grenade flies out and destroys a small animal. Dead animals? It must be the Max Payne bank level!!

Is this a contest that requires voting, or does the host decide?

mash, have I ever told you how cute you are? you float on a fluffy pink cloud of your own special brand of loveliness. your art, and lets be splendid about this, is the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen, you are kind, soft and delightful, and did I mention how cute you are?
(note that this post is NOT a pathetic attempt to get our wonderful judge to choose me as the winner, honest) ;D ;D ;D

Thanks for all the terrific entries everyone ^_^.  I'll just say a few words on what I liked best about each one:

Tocsik: The melting animation was terrific, and the expression on the slug was great!  His happiness quickly turns into terror as the salt does its work ^_^.  You also get bonus points for the "a-salt-ed" pun :D

Coolio: The timing was very well done--it's as if he's stretching, preparing himself for his astounding feat, letting the anticipation build, when WHAM! :o

Fluke: The cartoony stretches in the aftermath of the bomb are a very nice touch, and his blank expression is amusing ^_^

Eddie: Flattery will get you nowhere, Eddie ;).  Your entry didn't need it anyway, as I really liked the idea you had and the amazed expressions of the slugs ^_^

SilverTrumpet: Very cute! (and a good way of reusing previous entries ;))

Ago75: A little late, but worth the wait ^_^.  The animation is so smooth and expressive, and his amazing feat was unexpected! O_O

In the end, I declare Ago75 the winner, with his tremendous animation!
Congrats Ago, and thanks to everyone for participating ^_^
