Well if time hasn't been called on the voting, I would like to vote for The Girl In The Rags. I really enjoyed the story (I liked all of them to be fair) and this one stood out. I'd like to see more of this (if there is more).
<Babar> do me, do me, do me! :D
<ProgZMax> I got an idea - I reached in my pocket and pulled out my Galen. <timofonic2> Maybe I'm a bit gay, enough for do multitask and being romantical

Well, since there are not even two identical votes, I'm going to add my vote to one of the three that have been mentioned.

It's very tough to select the best story. If it was up to me, I would go for Iron Horses, but we need a winner, so:

- Planet 9 surely took some time to write. I really enjoyed the twist in the end and I second what ashmc2 said - it got me dragged deep into it.
- The Girl In The Rags is indeed very mysterious. As I said, even when you reveal what's it about, it's still puzzling. And I like that.
- The Ghost Story got me with telling about 'something' we don't know as if we knew it. It plays with one's imagination, and that's good.

Overall, even when it's very hard to choose, I'll go with SomeSickSelf's Ghost Story.
There is 'someone somewhere doing something', but we're not sure about anything, except that it's evil. It is exactly what I meant when I was explaining the theme.

I would like to thank all of the participants for submitting their stories we all enjoyed them very much!
(That should cover my monthly mystery dose  ;D)

So - congratulations to SomeSickSelf, who is the one to grab the prize and choose the theme for the christmas Fortnightly Writing!

Once again, thanks all for competing, looking forward for the next compo!

Congratulations, SomeSickSelf.  Well-deserved.
(now hurry up and start a new comp so I have another excuse to write something). :P

Well that's a nice surprise, I honestly didn't think I had a shot with so many great entries to choose from.  Thanks to all (two) of you who voted for my story, to Oliwerko for a great topic, and all the participants for their wonderful stories.

I'll be happy if my topic gets half as many entries as this one did, and on that note; the new thread should be up and running within 24 hours.  I apologize for the delay, I'm away for the weekend and computer time is limited.  I've got a couple ideas to choose from, so hopefully I'll have everything sorted out and ready to go the next time I'm online.
