Please, UKU, if you like to make a MAGS game, do so, but if you don't like the rules of a particular round, just don't enter, in that case, don't post any unrelated or unnecessary stuff in this thread. I may decide to delete these posts if there're more.

I was wondering: does a rathole (where a mouse lives, I'm not sure if that's the correct english word) fit the requirements for this month's Mags?

If so, I had a previous idea on a short game based on this topic, and maybe it could be the right occasion to use it.

Thank you, but I'd prefer Klaus to answer my question, seen that he's the one who wrote the rules.

Actually I made the UNDERWORLD rules. The winner of previous MAGS makes the rules. :) Look at Klaus's first post on the first page.

Not really: This month's rules are set by buloght. I'm just organizing the competition and check the rules before posting. So sometimes parts are added or in special cases elements are deleted. Usually the rules are always set by the winner of the previous month's competition.
Actually I already had an answer in mind but first wanted to see if buloght would post a reply - as he set the rules.
I'd have said something like: The rathole could be a door to a world underground or even be a world for itself for certain creatures. This idea fits the rules and therefore go for it :)
But you're also right as when there's no answer by the rules author - and noone is forced to reply - it would be my part to give you an answer.

Oh I see buloght now already made things clear about the rules while I was typing on this text. So go for the rathole now, you don't have much time left for the project...

Abisso

Thanks, and I'm sorry for the mistake, buloght. I remembered that was the winner to open the new contest, so I supposed it was Klaus.

I'll give it a try, then.

Anyone actually anywhere near finished?

I made one room, a playable character and one playable room. Overall completion: 5%  ;D

Abisso

Yeah, I almost finished it.

Oh, sorry, my english is so scarce... I meant "almost started".  ;D
Welcome back to the age of the great guilds.

mwahahaha

Only 6 days left and no entries even nearly finished apparently...

Well, I'll have to get to work tonight I guess.

Maxileen

My game is far from being finished, too, but at least I've got two rooms completed and even the walking animations of the main character (this has been delaying me most). The only problem is that I couldn't wait to actually start drawing the graphics before completing the story and the quests  ;D.

But I think (or hope) I'm gonna make it till the deadline.

Abisso

Buloght, or Klaus: what's the exact dead-line of the competition (hour and minutes of Feb 24)? I think I'll need every single minute to complete the game! (plus I need to go to university to upload it, so I have to depart at least 2 hours before the deadline).
Welcome back to the age of the great guilds.

mwahahaha

Any chance of a 2 day extention?  Just so that I've got the weekend to finish it?  I've got WAY to much work this week but I'd love to enter.

This time it's a question for me. First of all: No extention! February is a short month and people should have time to vote and the winner should be able to think about the new rules. So the deadline is February 24th.
Talking about hours and minutes: Starting from now (see timestamp of this posting) you've got 50 hours left to post your games, then the voting wil begin... If we face some entries then...

Saberteeth

Dude, sorry, I can't enter, I'm going to fix my computer soon so the extencion wouldd be perfect for me. But since there's not going to be an extencion, I won't enter enev if I said I would.

Sorry  :(

What if there are no entries, but we're close?

From what I can remember, the extension is unavoidable, then. But, it would be stupid to do it willingly together with the other partecipants, cause you reduce the time for voting, and force the next Mags to begin with a delay.

I tell you this cause I would benefit from an extension, too, but instead I'll release the game anyway (except for unexpected impossibilities), with its bugs and maybe cutting some elements (animations, extras, etc.)

I hope the whole of you can enter, and good luck to everyone, then.

I had an Odissey to get this game "somewhat" finished. It misses a lot of things I'd like to put in, and I tested it just once, but at least something is done. I still have few hours, but my university closes in one hour, so

Enjoy it here:

P.S. I were not able to upload the file in my site, for some unknown reasons. So I used Rapidshare. I hope it works fine.

modified: I read that Rapidshare allows only a download of 30 MB per hour. So if you can't download the file immediately, just wait some time, please. Anyway the file is about 3.880 Kbytes, so about 7 downloads per hour.
Thanks for the patience.
