WHAT?
Make a GAME in an HOUR, with a THEME.
WHEN?
7pm UK time.
WHERE?
In this THREAD and ON IRC.
WHO?
YOU, not ME. I'm setting the THEME.
WHY?
For FUN and the FUTURE.
WHORE?
Please CAMWHORE or BLOG.
WEB?
TerranRich's SHUTUPLOAD.
WHEE!

So uh... since I forgot about hosting one THIS saturday, i think it'd be fine if i'll host it NEXT saturday instead. That's 2nd of October, if I'm not wrong. Write here about whether you'd want to participate. And especially if you want to have an "early submission" kind of thing, sadly I have my schedule on Saturdays.

Ok, ok, some fine print. The theme will be set by the previous winner (that's me!) and announced here and on IRC at the beginning of the hour. You will have an hour to make the game, plus 15 minutes to debug and upload it. Making a game from scratch is strongly encouraged, but you can use a pre-made template and music from one of the hoursong competitions. I can make a game too but it won't be voted on. I can make trophies though. Please don't use one of those upload sites with 30 second waiting periods and crazy popups. ShutUpLoad works, so just use it, unless you have your own hosting.

Early submission plox :)

I'm free most Saturday, but not so late. When is it possible for you?

EDIT2: And the only entry from the fourth (and final?) one: http://shutupload.com/dl/cf9c0327ed3b/

I'll try to be on IRC in the here-morning (about 12 hours before the thing starts, maybe?)... Or maybe I can just trick Babar into doing that.

Bulbapuck

Ouch, that sucks. I'll probably be asleep by then.

I'll get into #ags as soon as I wake up, hopefully it's on time.

FSi++

ok, either there was some amount of misunderstanding or there were no early entries. either way, we shall start with the regular entries now, and the theme is...

THINGS WITH WINGS (either alive and not)

Kweepa

Still waiting for Purity of the Surf II

FSi++

Soooo... no early entries, no more contestants? Then you've got to choose between:

- Kweepa's Quite a Flap
and
- bicilotti's The Firebird Island

Let's get it going!

Kweepa

Well it was a tough choice, but my vote goes to bicilotti.
I love the CYOA concept, and this has the most endings of any hourgame I've played!
Very nice!

bicilotti

Kweepa manages (as always) to pull out of his hat a solid, colourful, multibackground game in less than one hour.
I also heard his code is very efficient. So, +1 for him!

LUniqueDan

Finally manage to play both of them and chossing were not easy. 2 very diffent games. So, I'll vote for Kweepa cuz he managed to make an actual point'n click in 1 hour. (sorry Bic :) )

+1 Kweepa

All those moments... will be lost... in time, like tears... in... rain."

Dualnames

I was certainly going to vote for Kweepa's. But well honestly bici just amazes me. I explored almost all possibilities even though I won on the first shot. For a two point path it was nice to know that certain options would lead to certain paths, and well, thanks to bici for making me my day.

BICI IS MY VOTE.
Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)

Questionable

I hate to make this seems like a gangbang on Bici but I vote for the midnight Kweepa.
All my trophies have disappeared... FINALLY! I'm free!

Dualnames

BICI!! Bring out the mafia!!

Unfortunately Steve's game was corrupted when I downloaded it, rendering me unable to vote.  :(
(Perhaps a re-upload would fix this?)

Really enjoyed Bici's game though!

I have downloaded that know and it works for me...

Had also the same bug twice while downloading kweepa's. I believed it was just my connexion + GChrome.

Odd. Perhaps my host was having problems. Seems to be ok now.

Sorry :-[

I was busy all of Saturday so I couldn't even log in to the IRC.

Man, I miss the days when I had time for the ocational hourgame...

Wyz

Great games!
Good work on the puzzle Steve, it took me a while to figure it out. But the happy end was worth it ;)
Despite the lack of graphics I still really like the firebird island; the story was really appealing.

I think my vote goes to bici.

I also hope I have time to join the next one. :(
Life is like an adventure without the pixel hunts.

ThreeOhFour

Amazing hourgames, both, but for sheer playability my vote goes to Bicilotti!
