Yes, it is mandatory to enter the contest this week.
The requirements:
This piece of music must represent your own personality. Hopefully everyone knows themself well enough to come up with something good. Got something lying around? Enter it!
So start already...
yay! a mandatory tune contest! woo-hoo!
*waves hand* I'm in *waves hand*
Is this really mandatory? (you might notice that I haven't been tune contesting in a few months)
Running Commentary (http://www.looptheorist.com/music/runningc.mp3)
I havent entered one of these in forever.
C.
Holy crap C. Thats amazing! I had no idea you were capable of stuff like this.
I shall try and enter, still, though I seem to be having trouble with my speakers. Bass = 100%, Treble = less than 10% :( It's hard to hear what I'm doing when all I get is Thud Thud Thud from the base.
A light introspective orchestration.Ã, Enjoy!

I'm gonna force my shit on you people, but I need good audiohosting. What's the best one?
EDIT: Hahaa found one!
Okay. Does this link work? (http://www.audiostreet.net/artists/002/875/hadbass.html)
Got this, error, Haddas:
Song Play Error
An error occurred while attempting to play the selected song. The error reported was: Deep linking to songs on AudioStreet is only allowed for premium artists.
Okay - I can get it working, now. If you can't: Go to Advanced (under the search button in the left-hand column) and in Song Title, search for "teh_weirdotron". It'll link you down the bottom.
(p.s - my entry will be in soon)
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! IT IS FINALLY DONE!
phew. Okay, I spent the first three days writing this piece, the next four practicing it on the piano, and about ten minutes ago I recorded it and uploaded it to audiostreet (http://www.audiostreet.net)
To access it, type "The Rebirth Rhapsody" into the search box in the top right hand corner. I can't provide a direct link because they are mean and nasty. Anyway, go an listen. I'm sorry 'bout the fuzziness in the background, but that's just a side effect of recording with a less-than-great microphone. The quality of the piano is still good though.
Anyway, I need to go rest my hands. My fingers are KILLING me after playing that :(
I can't get either of those from audiostreet to download. Both quit at around 3/4 completion. I guess I'll try again.
hmmm, that's odd. Did you try streaming it, instead of downloading?
If it still doesn't work, copy and paste this lovely link into your browser:
http://s016054.tripod.com/peterthomasunleashed/id2.html
You will then be taken to a loverly page filled with mp3's. Click on the imaginatively entitled "click here to download file". That's the rebirth rhapsody.
and...
Woops, sorry I'll announce the winner.
And the winner is... C. Leks!!
It seemed like the most realistic character description, to me at least.
Everyone's entry was great, and it's wonderful to see people actually putting time into this contest again. Sorry I don't really have time to comment on everyone's entry, but this was the toughest contest decision I had to make in a while.
