All righty!Ã, I realize that a lot of you guys are busy, so I'll make this one short and sweet:
1)Ã, The player character in an adventure game has just died in a humorous way. He or she has fallen off a cliff, been smushed by an ogre, been sucked into jet intake, etc.Ã, It's your job to compose a death theme to be played on the "Restore?Ã, Restart?Ã, Quit?" screen.
2)Ã, The song must be 30 seconds long or less.
3)Ã, The song itself should be light/humorous; remember, the deceased is someone like Roger Wilco, not Hamlet.
Good luck!Ã, Ã, ;D

I like MoodyBlues rules so here's my first entry to the music contest. It's crappy and lasts only 12 seconds (but hey, have you seen an adventure game with death theme much longer?).
Word of explanation: its for a scene when the player tries to sneak pass a ruthless ogre and ends up smashed.

Click and drag to the tiotle bar.
I don't get why people don't try that before they go around complaining.

Oh dear....
It'll be stuck in my head for DAYS!...
Eggie! Wash out that mouth of yours! *wags finger* Seriously, though, this had me laughing. It'd make a funny flash, perhaps.
Blade, your midi was quite good as well. "Twinkle, twinkle, little star..." I like the little "ping!" at the end, too.
Ha ha nice work eggie. Made me laugh good. And good entry Blade. I might enter this if I find time.

Ok, I decided to enter this one. Enjoy all 8 seconds of it.
Damn Eggie, that is a wonderful song ;D
Made me laugh for a long long time ;)

RPG-ish goodness (questionable).
Retro! (http://www.abo.fi/~andslott/ghor_gameover.mp3)
Retro is 16th century now?
Sluggo: That is beautiful! I like the flute and oboe bouncing back and forth at the beginning ;D Sounds like a death theme for KQ VGA *amazed* What program do you use?
Flippy_D: Short, sweet, and sad. Very nice, although a bit too depressing for this contest. It'd work well for a "dark" game like Pleurburg (sp?).
Ghormak: I looove this one, especially the end. (I have a thing for olde-style music.) Very good, although it's a bit sadder than what I was looking for.
I have to say, I was very impressed with all the entries, both in quantity and quality. I am especially amazed that nobody used the standard "Death March" theme. (King's Quest II+ VGA used it.) Great work!
But as for the winner... "there can be only one." :P
Sluggo takes this one; out of all the entries, his was the closest to what I had in mind. Congratulations!
Hehe. I would have voted for Eggie based on pure chutzpah alone. Nice tunes everyone, and congrats Sluggo!
Sluuugoooo...
I sent him a PM a few days ago, I wonder what's keeping him.
Woopsie, sorry I was on break from school and didn't really have access to the internet, I'll start a new one soon.
Moodyblues: I wrote it just in a notation editor but I recorded it with garritan personal orchestra. It has some nice sounds.

And thanks for picking me, I'll try to think of something good!
