Sprite Jam: Ends Mar. 24 - WINNER: VOH

For this Jam, the theme is "Chimeras". The Chimera was, of course, a mythical Greek beastie that was a combination of a lion, goat and snake... there are different representations of them out there, but the one I'm most familar with looks something like this:

ANYway, what I'm looking for is a chimera of your own creation -- that is, combinations of at least three animals (and a max of, let's say, six) -- just make sure you don't use the lion, goat and snake, ESPCIALLY not in the comniation listed above. Your new animal should have recognizable characteristics of each animal that it's composed of and hopefully the combination will result in an interesting/ cute/ amusing/ cool-looking new creature. Also, try to make it something that would be reasonably easy to animate, if you were to do so for a game (i.e., nothing TOO overly complex, I guess).

Size restriction: 300 x 300
Color restriction: None
Animal restriction: A combo of between three and six animals of your choice

Been awhile since I entered a competition ... thought I'd throw my hat in the ring for this one.

It was a cold afternoon when an organ grinder's Monkey decided to make a Dolphin and Slug sandwich. Little did he know the blender had been replaced with one of those dealies from The Fly!
From that day on, he was known as Ecco, The Monkey Slug.
Heres our hero swinging from tree to tree with all the grace of a suicidal elephant.

Interesting topic, combining animals.
I tried to do a human, bull, wolf combo. But the end result looked more like a minotaur with a wolfhead attached to it. (the loincloth is there for obvious reasons ) Also some of its muscles in his arms look funny, I never really get the hang of it.

It's a monkey-bunny-kangaroo. And yes, the source material weren't real animals but the plushy variety Just to do something different

It didn't win, though. But that's only because there were some other really neat entries, too! I really loved a lot of them, like Darth's and Squinky's and... heck, I liked them all!

But voh, your "monkey-bunny-kangaroo" was just so gosh-darned adorable that I couldn't help but have it as the winning entry!
