Is this the 4th one? Something like that anyway. Thanks to Scummbuddy for being a constant reminder about this.

ABOUT RELEASE SOMETHING:
This isn't a competition as such, just a big free-for-all where we can all showcase our talents. Basically, a date is set for "Release Something!" Day and on that day, people are invited to post to this thread anything they like, really. For example, some sprites,Ã,  screenshots of your game, music, sound effects, backgrounds, rooms, a plugin, a storyboard, a demo, or if you can manage it, a full game. Heck, even if it's 95% done or 1% done, if you wanna release it, you go for it!

WHEN: (that is, NOW!)
This time it's starting on June 15 and usually runs for a couple of days, so PLENTY of time.

Remember, anything you want, as little or as much of it as you want! Get working, people!

Nacho

I want to do a silly little game, one of those where you gotta tap the right and left cursors as fast as you can to gain speed. A time trial game. Silly, but I want to practise with new BGs and animations...

And I have some sprites... But the project leader gotta give me the permission to publish it. Save space for them here.
Are you guys ready? Let' s roll!

Steel Drummer

Here are some backgrounds and characters from my new in production game, David Smith: Private Investigator..

The bad guy's evil lair, in a cruise ship:

This one is posted in the GiP forum, but oh well:

Ã, Ã, Ã,

Here are some characters (all by lo_res_man, of course)

Ã,

Well, that's all!
I'm composing the music for this game:

MashPotato

An idle animation for Lord and Lady Applewater (for The Hatmaker's Tale).Ã,  Of course, I cut down the idling time for this gif ^_^:

I have some updated Drug Bust screens. As developement continued, new rooms started looking noticeably better than old ones, so we've been updating backgrounds.

First some screens from the Drug Bust thread (which i'll get around to updating later)

Original then New (showing the whole room, rather than what the 320x you'd normally see)

Original then New

And i'll throw in a new screen too

And now for something completely different. Pirates' Pride, the first serious project I attempted in AGS, one day I'd like to go back to it and make it properly. The character in this screenshot was done by ProgZmax purely so i've had something to test with and by the time I get around to making it, i hope to be able to do my own. maybe. :P

I think that's all. Looking forward to seeing other peoples projects.

So far all of the submissions look fantastic and I envy the artistic talent displayed.Ã,  I look forwards to playing all those games when they are completed.

I will now share with you some screenies of the projects I've been working on. (Keep in mind that the files are saved in "jpg" format, so the quality of the images displayed below is lower than what will be seen in-game).

Well, as some of you may already know, I've been working on my "Elevator - Rise from the Abyss!" project over the last 10+ months, and currently I'd say overall progress is a bit more than halfway. I've had good feedback and positive comments from my "alpha testers" of "Chapter One". I continue to work on the project when I can in my spare time. Anyways, I thought I'd share a little screenie of Jane and Jack when they discover what they think to be a dead body on the floor of the creepy elevator.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, for the last couple of weeks, I have been working on a little "MAGs" game for this month. I've been drawing all of the art myself... the "old fashioned way" (by hand and using paper and pencils - then I scan into the computer).Ã,  Anyways, I think it will make for a somewhat unique look.
Below I share a sample of the main "mouse" character, along with an early screenshot of the game in action (though more details of that room will be added before the project is finished):

Conan: "To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women!"
Mongol General: "That is good."

Here are some screenshots from the game my partner and I are working on.

And here's a group photo of the PC and main NPCs I rigged up:

I saved them as jpgs, so they look a bit better in the actual game.

Oh, and here's the theme, written by me.

A little late to this thread, but life is crazy right now.

I'm working on a new Barn Runner game that's sort of an homage to Al Lowe and Leisure Suit Larry. I'm also trying to streamline the old interface I've been using forever.

The player's DataLink lists the objectives the detective has to accomplish. I'm also going to incorporate the DataLink into the save/load interface, the setup controls, and the inventory. This should give the game GUI a nicely integrated feel.

The Inventory GUI

The Save Game GUI

The Setup GUI

I have some of the various ladies animations up and running, but I'm going to keep them in reserve until I "sneak peek" them closer to release (hopefully by the end of summer).

This isn't much to look at right now, I know, but I should have something more to show once I've had another month or so to work on it. Plus, I'm really proud of these GUIs as I coded every bit of them myself. No plugins or cut n paste code. It was a LOT harder than I thought it would be!

Everyone's work looks very promising, but I was hoping more people would have something to release. Still, what's the AGSers have shown here looks quite good.

Adventure Quest 2 - Winterlong.

A couple of screenshots for the sequel to Adventure Quest.

A powerful spell has created winter all year round in the vale of heroes. Bryan, Brenda and Tea Leaf are joined on a new quest by Derick the Cleric to reverse the spell.

The game ( the style is a cross between Final Fantasy, Monkey Island and Dungeons and Dragons ) includes a battle engine, various armour's weapons, spells and items accessed through GUI's. Progress is coming on well, the Battle engine works along with most of the GUI's. I'll make a Games in progress thread soon and a Demo should be finished in a month or so. Graphics are not my strongest point, but I hope are passable.

Hey all, I've just started working on the sequel to Spooks (Tentative name: Skyward), and although I don't have much to show, here's the start of a background and the player character.

I'm doing some testing with Flash characters for TMC. I wasn't content with my sprites, so I decided to try drawing them and then animating in Flash. So far it has been pretty promising, and I'm at a stage where I just might be able to pull it off.

Here's Adam, pretty much done and full size.            And a WIP walkcycle test. Lots of tweening going on there.

Will ofcourse be downsized later.                             http://www.dinerdate.net/Adam.gif

That's about it. I would really like to show you some great stuff I've been working on, but it's for my MAGS project(if I get it done) so I'm keeping that under wraps.

CoffeeBob

Me and my friend are developing a Final Fantasy fan-game in RPG Maker 2003, which is going great. We've got loads of stuff done in a short amount of time, no real story yet, though. :P

Here's some facial portraits and a screenshot from the game;

NOTE: It's not that far in progress yet, so things might look a bit different in the upcoming demos and/or final version.

Thale Cres

Thought I'd post in one of those Release something thread myself.

I've been collaborating with two brothers from Sweden (Fredrik and Magnus Norén), who are making an rpg, rts hybrid seemingly veyr succesful (from the demos I've played ;D).

The game is called Thale Cres, and it's based on it's own engine, with full 3d graphics and full original music and sound fx, amongst other things. For full details and info of the game you might want to check out the game website

Here are some concept art of the game, a couple of screens, a track that I composed and he link to the game website (updated today actually).

And finally the website for you to check the game out:

I decided to post this after seing the 'Free-for-all, to showcase our talents' mention by Kinoko, and I was encouraged by the non AGS project by Largo, which btw looks really interesting. And sorry for the double posting (Just didn't want to mess with the spam-like but not really above post ;D ;D ;D ;D)

I hope you don't mind me saying that all project in this thread look amazing! The only cut back is that it has not the many replies it had in the past :(. But hopefully more people will post here :)

Ponch

Checking in to see what everyone's posting...

Hmmm...

Not too many posters this time, but there is some REALLY nice stuff this time around. (Amazing looking first AGS game, Sanou!)

C'mon, people. Surely more of you have been working on something since the last time we did this!

Here's a screenshot from my AGS MegaDemo (for the latest coding competition):

Very nice works, people :)
If it isn't too late; I want to release some art stuff for Lost in the Nightmare 2, which I made today. (Sorry, I can't explain what is that thing :) )

Games are art!
