Topic: Movie Adventure

Desc: The rights to the following movies has been sold to famous adventure companies. Lord of the Rings (1,2,3), King Kong and Pirates of the Carribean (1,2). Your company will make adventure games of these featuring most of the characters. Create a sprite of ANY of the characters or creatures from these movies for an adventure game. If you don't like any of these movies you are free to do characters from other movies too.

Very little referance used - just to get a feel for the pose.  Shading was very rushed.  Just happens to be 32 colors, not counting the background

I'd like to refine this sprite later, but won't be able to before the contest is over.

Come on! 9 hours left! I' ll wait till 2400, CET time, and I guess also South african time, in homage to the previous sprite jam winner... The ANT platoon is winning, it is really great, so, post awesome entries to beat them!

I decided to declare SSH the winner... So, you still have some hours to get the minor awards.

congrats, ssh! it was a flawless sprite!  ;)

Sorry for giving the results 40 mins. before the deadline, but I am in a hurry... I decided to remove the award to SSH, because there is no sprite... They are just a bunch or intros! So... I hope to be fair... It'sÃ,  been really, really difficult to decide the winner, gold and silver were really close, and I decided by the size. The most size, the most working time... It' s a way to decide that I don' t like too much, but the originality of Mr_Frisby was so great that it almost gets the supperb tecnique showed by...


Special mentions to: Khrismuc... (Very close to get the Grammy... neat way to sollute in low res, but I was not totally happy with the pallete and some of the placing of the pixels... Still great), Das Plans, Tocsik, Clip, Ali (a bit rushed maybe?Ã,  ;)) and Tiki...

To the others, thanks, but you need to practise a bit to get the mentions... But participating is the first step, you' ll improve more and more, I am sure. Take this as a challenge, "in the next SJ I'll get a mention, man!"
