Questionable

It's funny because everything that happened in this thread happened to me when I first saw that pic. I thought:

James Bond! Good entry... but which one? That's definately not connery... Moore? Hmmm, I need a closer look.

*leans in to computer*  facially, it looks a bit like Arnold "Get Down" Schwarzenegger... but no. Not enough bulk. That'd be a horrible Arnold.

I'll resize it in photoshop: Right Click > Save File

My Documents> Search for file... searching for the damned file... I need to clean up my documents on this computer... searching...

DIRTY HARRY.JPG?! WTF?!

=P

P.S. Your colors are fine, I was talking about the Avatar theif Wonky.
All my trophies have disappeared... FINALLY! I'm free!

I'm with you. The face is a bit off but the pose is classic Callahan.

Have you seen me?

No?  Maybe this screen from my game will help.

Still no clue?  Just look at the filename then, and shame on you :(.

I spent way too much time on this, but I've been wanting to do a proper mockup for awhile.  GUI was designed rather quickly but the idea is to use the control pad under the radio if you want to change actions (it shows up the current one on the radio display).  The volume control would control music volume and, theoretically, the cassette slot would allow you to change the music at any time by inserting bonus music cassettes found in the game.  the Menu button on the wheel is for access to the general settings menu, the speedometer above it is actually player score, the inventory thing on the right is the inventory, and yeah, that huge bit in the middle is where you are presently and what your destination (might) be!  I just thought a gui of the inside of the delorean would be neat so I made it.  If I were seriously to work on this I would arrange things much better and make it look more like the proper inside of a car.

Fuck you ProgZ, I recognized him without the screenshot.

Galen

I think Progz should be banned from the Competitions and Critics forums. He keeps making us all look bad.

ProgZ! just... MWAH!  :-*

So i'm trying to get the inv items, there's the skateboard and then the fading photo? Maybe the sports results? ...and some plutonium?

Shane 'ProgZmax' Stevens

(left to right):  'SAVE THE CLOCK TOWER!' flyer, a can of Pepsi (plutonium? ;o), a wallet which will contain, among other things, his family photo, and his trusty skateboard.  This is supposed to be taking place at the beginning of the first movie when he goes to visit Doc Brown (and blows out the sound system).

Chicky

I figured it was the Docs house + the clock tower in the bg, the wallet looked a bit like some sticks of plutonium in... something (paper bag, i guess).

Awesome cool anyway.

I suppose the wallet could look more like a wallet but I had to prioritize my time :).  Anyway, Doc's house is based on a photo of the actual house used in the movies (just in case you thought I pulled the design out of my ass....I'm not that creative):

In retrospect, another thing I would change would be the inventory.  The design is too boring and the sizes are too small to evoke as much detail as I'd like.  As a revision I'd probably make the inventory the glove compartment which you can open close and just pull items out of without strict positions (think of it as a mini-hidden object game! :P).

I'm glad some people like it, anyway.  Everything about it was rather rushed aside from Marty's base sprite  :-[ .

You are right. I bet it's the hairstyle that gave it away :)

Sprites are actually fun to make. Maybe I should try to make a walk view of her.
