Really nice piece there, Pinback. It's especially nice seeing some more colour creeping into your work  ;).

The magic of re-sizing! I re-size in Microsoft Paint as it gives just the right look, usually a reduction of 33%. I also convert the pictures to limited palette PNG's too, so I can reduce the gradient effect of photoshop brushes, and thus achieve a very pixellated look.

Ok, I'll let the voting go on for a few more hours.
I think at least the participant could spare a few minutes to vote.
Keep them coming! :)

I kinda wanted to use a scene from Blackadder as my entry-

Percy: "Could it be m'lord, that I hold here in my mortal hands a nugget of purest green?"

But that would've taken time, and patience- of which I have niether!

I will never forgive you for not doing this.

You are dead to me now.
Agreed. We hate you now. Still, a great underwater backgound. And it's not brown. :)

Good round guys, and great entry Oraxon- it was a pleasure to compete with you.

And yeah, I'm never going to live down that Blackadder mention!

The pleasure was mine. Great to see everyone's designs. Thanks for the Microsoft Paint tip!

...33% bigger...

My 320 x 200 BG's are painted on a 'canvas' about 1000 pixels across. I reduce to 33% of the original size.
Sorry I kinda mis-explained it before.

Wonkyth

Aww, that completely ruins the drollness of my statement.  :P

Congrats hip hip hurrwhereismywallpaperdammit?!  :P
