Title: Sprite Jam: Murder Mystery suspects 02.13.11 to 02.28.11 - Winner announced
Post by: Renegade Implementor on Sun 13/02/2011 17:25:07
The host of a gathering is found dead and everyone is a suspect.  Your task is to create someone who is at this gathering and who may be the murderer.  This can be a guest or a member of the host's staff.

No restrictions on colour or size.

No restrictions on the time-period.  The character can, for example, be from the 1920-30s, 1100s, or even far flung future.

I thought there was something a little odd about the visiting African dignitary.

Genuinely the first thing that came to mind.

Nice one OneDollar, very creative. I like the details like the earring and the spotted skin.

Here's my effort. Started as an old Nazi general type. No idea where it ended up...  :-\

Professor Plum!

Looks like a "where are they now?" version of the California Raisins... ;D Really creative though.

- There he is, Inspector, I think we've got him! He's the only person that doesn't appear on the collective photo!
- He was the man with the camera, Constable...

As you all know, the murderer is always the butler:

No rogue's gallery can be complete without a prime suspect that virtually everyone thinks is guilty.

In this case it is that maniac of mentalists,

the mad magician,

the one, the only

Nice entries.

ProgZ, isn't it "duplicitous", without the one "i" ? Nevermind, must have misread it..

In Germany the murderer is always the gardener.   ;D

So I think that makes him at least suspected:

... but I discovered several other suspicious aspects.

We also have an old song about it, but at the very end, in this song the gardener himself is killed by the butler.

Dame Elizabeth Connelly-Dempshire, Wagnerian soprano

The host loved Italian opera. Maybe Dame Elizabeth could be a suspect?... ;)

These are a wonderfully varied & creative collection of suspects.  It made it very difficult to choose, but in the end, I must declare OneDollar the winner with his visiting African dignitary.

Whether or not she's the actual murderer is anyone's guess.

Oh wow, wasn't expecting that with all the other great sprites. Thanks! I'll start a new jam when I come up with a topic...
