Sprite Jamb Feb. 27 - March 5

The rules for this week are:
*Your favorite Greek/Norse god/goddess in sprite form*

Anyone from Loki to Athena is eligible. I would like to see a style that would be usable in an AGS game, so keep that in mind.

For inspiration, here are several random sprites taken from Capcom's "King of Dragons", shown at double size.

Thats right, this ugly buger is responsible for thos little wooden pipes, as well as being greek god of sheep and herds! If you ever got struck by a sudden fear, especially in lonely places then this is the guy to blame, hence the word panic.

Blown up to double size, 75x75, i can only find 14 colours but im sure it came to somewhere around 20... oh well.

SpacePirateCaine - Yours rocks but maybe Persephone needs to pul her top up a bit, her right breast is showing... i can hear those complaints to MTV now...

Yup, lots and lots of inbreeding in the Greek pantheon of gods, but hey, they're gods - genetic mutations aren't a big thing to them, I'm sure. And they're one of the only two godly couplings that didn't produce offspring. Aside from Aphrodite and Hephaestus.

She's a greek goddess, it's a wonder she's wearing any clothes at all. And it's partially covered - no nipplage here. I figured that with most of the representations of greek gods in art having them in a sash at most, I portrayed her as relatively demure. I mean, there's a grand total of one non-naked person in this artistic rendition.

edit: Oops, didn't catch the color limitations bit..Here is just the sprite (no fancy background) which adheres to the 25 color limit

And because I enjoy Greek Mythology...The Battle of Brothers! (that's hades down there getting zapped)

I know he looks a tad demonic (well maybe alot) but Hades wasn't exactly a nice God, even by Greek Mythology standards (90% of them were slime anyway).

Can't say that I have a favourite so I just picked one that seemed interesting and it fell on Artemis, the goddess of hunt and something else.

Been meaning to try out some figuredrawing on a pixel level. Turned out to be quite tricky.
