So, here is the new Tune Contest.

You may probably know the picture "Café de nuit" by Vincent van Gogh. If not, here it is:

Imagine this picture was a scene of your new adventure game. The challenge is to make a piece of music that fits to this scene. Everything's allowed that is composed by yourself. Make a MIDI or do something else, but don't take parts of other people's songs.

Well, I hope that fits and wasn't been a contest here once before.

Enjoy your life, with or without music.

Very nice! I'll enter this one. Hopefully.

Flippy_D

Here we go. I recommend you RCSA, for Quicktime, though being an admirable player of internet movies, dothn't half fark up MIDI files.

Bartimaeus

Heya! Flippy dude - that's really good!

What did you write that on? It sounds so good, and it works really well with the painting too. I really liked those quick notes in the background - so cool.

Good job man! I would write something for this but I get all the music I make off my electric piano, and the quality is never as good as that. Oh well... I'll see.

Cheers!

;)

EDIT: If I had to critisise one thing for this tune, I think it's be the ending. Possibly something as simple as a fade out could improve it drastically. (My 2 cents)

RCSA?
I did a quick google search but came up empty.
Still waiting for Purity of the Surf II

Wow, Flippy! That's a fantastic piece of music and fits well to this scene. Could also be a perfect lullaby, if there was an appropriate text ...

I used cakewalk. If you want a copy (it's circa 1992) then add me on msn, I have a pre-zipped file for anyone who asks. Unfortunately, it takes a-g-e-s until you get them to sound anywhere near acceptable. You really have to master controllers before you can truely get a decent sound.

And even then, it's nowhere near what I'd like it to sound like. But thanks!

/Every time I do this I vow to learn mp3...

nihilyst

Is there anybody, who wants to participate in this challenge and therefore needs more time?

Flippy_D

Ah, the two sweetest words in the English language...

nihilyst

Hm. Seems, that no one wants to do some music.

Well then, Flippy, you're the winner of this contest.

Congratulating cheers
