There was one thing that bothered me a little.  The Latin inscribed on the slate was a bit off.  'Operor non tactus phylacterium per patesco manuum' comes out to 'I work hard not to touch Phylacterium through the reach of my hands', tactus being a noun, and operor being either passive or deponent.  'Noli tangere amuletum cum nudis manibus' might be a better translation.

I really liked the game, though.  It was short, but very engaging.  The puzzles were a little easier than in other games, and there wasn't any puzzle that I shook my head at.  The story was splendid. :)

Congratulations on getting this done.  The music this time around works brilliantly with the narrative, though I felt that the 'Ben Jordan Theme' used in his bedroom was CRIMINALLY underused.  This one was a bit light on gameplay overall (especially compared to BJ 6), but it definitely leaves the player wanting a resolution.  Bravissimo!

By the way, my favorite quote right now is from the smoking man: "It looks like one of those things psychologists show you. I see a puppy. Does that mean I'm crrrazy?"  ;D

That was my favorite line as well!!! I pissed myself laughing when I first played it months ago, then i realised that I had to record it cause it wasnt part of my original list of lines.

A really nice game, like expected from Grundislav. The voices was great (as soon as I figured out how to turn on subtitles -- apparently, I'm so blind that a gigantic "Settings" button isn't enough for me to see it), the music is the best game music I've heard in a long, long time.

And the story is superb, especially if one has played all previous games. Predictable at times, but still... exceptionally funny, exceptionally sad.

A few BJ-special gameplay techniques still confuse me after all these games... I still look for solutions for a long time in the wrong places because I forget that it's possible to touch / interact with the items in my inventory, and I still don't see why on earth we need TWO different dialogue cursors (when is small-talk ever useful?).

But that's okay: I don't play Ben Jordan games for the sake of awesome GUIs, I play Ben Jordan games because I have grown to really like the character of Ben Jordan, along with Simon, Alice, Percy and the rest of Ben Jordan's universe. And this is the clearly strongest Ben Jordan-game storywise so far, and the use of music, graphics and voice-acting stresses the story in a superb way. A game well worth playing, and a must-play for Ben Jordan fans all over the globe.

On another note, I really liked the commentary. Can't wait for the next one... the title sounds... interesting.

IndieBoy

Just finished and I can say I truly love this game!

I am going to listen to the commentary later on, but if any game deserves 5 cups this is it.

An excellent game with a fantastic story :D

I'm playing through it again with the commentary on right now, very insightful.  Just annoyed that now I have to wait again for the next one, pah. ;)

LimpingFish

One small bug: Whenever someone is following you around, if you go to the map screen, you'll see their hotspot marker pop up when you mouse over where they were in the last screen.
