Hmm, I'll check that problem out when I get home (I'm at uni right now), thanks for letting me know. Which version have you got, btw? (it should say in the readme file).

The latest version (1.2) has been out for awhile and it available from the same link. I'm just uploading the new versions over the old ones.

here's my review of it for Adventure Gamers. It basically says the same thing as this post, only in slightly more detail :)

Oooooooooooooooooooh! Thanks! My first review... and such a nice one! I feel all squishy inside -_-

Das Plans

Yours was the first AGS game I was really waiting for after seeing the first posts in the critics lounge - and I wasn't disappointed. This one really is a blast!!! Excellent.

Oh, and perhaps I can make your next day by telling you, that Alex reminded me a lot of Philip J. Fry... which is great, because he's one of my favourite cartoon characters.

*GASP!* You people are wonderful! Comparing my main character to two of greatest characters ever -_- Simon and Fry! *sniff* Thankyou.

EDIT: Oh, and sunshine, could you tell me exactly which action you performed before getting the error message?

EDIT2: Oh, and AGA... I do have plans for 3 more games at least. It's just a matter of working out which one to do first. I'd like to do a sequel to Cirque (I have some nice ideas for that one), another similar styled game, and another completely different game featuring some of my hand drawings... in my mind, it looks great!.

very nice, loved it a lot, reminded me a lot of Simon the Sourceror
When I was a little kid we had a sand box. It was a quicksand box. I was an only child... eventually.

It's just spelling mistake or it have something to do with Terry Pratchetts "Sourcery"  and Sourceror ? ;)

I have just completed this GREAT GAME.  Hope you have a sequel soon.  Really enjoyed it.  My game did freeze/crash quite a few times. I did have version 1.2.    I reloaded  quite a few times (8-10 at least). but the game is very enjoyable and the designs very nice.  Thank you for this game.  Don't stop now, give us a sequel or another great game.

It's a spelling mistake, the game is called Simon the Sorcerer.

Woop de woop!

It was quite funny and the art was really great

Spoiler

the art in the crystal room was real nice and the bird's next was awesome and i loved the little animation in the bird standing.

that's also something that was great, people didn't just SNAP! from one pose to another, you animated their arms moving and that's just awesome

i did encounter a bug however:

Spoiler

i couldn't give the "sunscreen" to the cricket player so i had to start over...

Hmm, did you give it to him before talking to him? You have to speak with him about his problem before you can give it to him. If not, I'm not sure what's happening (once again).

Thanks again, everyone ^_^

as with most things in life, AGA...

kinoko, no I spoke to him before, the first inventory item i picked up was the "sunscreen" i think, are you reusing global ints or something? that could do it

Well, started to play it tonight, ended in one hour and an half

The main story was fine, but some things were a little too obvious, anyway, you did a great game

I haven't been stuck a second, seen some bugs :

Spoiler

1/ the dog turns into a blue AGS cup for one or two frames when using it on the cat
2/ On the main place in town, when you use inventory item on "nothing" ( on street per example ) zale walks all the way left before moonwalking in front of the magician. I was near the pimp when I accenditaly perform this.

Not much time for gaming neither creating, but keeping an eye on everything :)

Jazhara7

I have a problem.

I'm at the circus, but I can't leave it. When in front of the tent, I can go inside the tent, but can't leave any other way. I have already made Missy go.

Please help me!

Otherwise a great game so far.

I think you have to walk of the bottom of the screen.. I had trouble there too. The exit isn't really obvious.

Jazhara7

Thanks, I'll try that.

I accidentally -did- reuse a global int at some point, but that was fixed. Have you got the latest version? If not, interaction with the mother would screw it up.

I have 2 bugs to report.
Spoiler
1)At first I didn't know that you can go to the circus screen from the cricket playground, so I solved all the puzzles that didn't need visiting the tent:
-gave picknick basket to pimp
-got the pamphlet from an old man
-gave little bike to Damien the bear :)
-gave troll doll to mother
And then i found out about the circus thent, and inside I gave the pamphlet i got from the pimp to the woman, and picked up sunscreen from the box. But then I couldn't give the sunscreen to the player. I restarted the game and picked up suncreen right away and gave it to the player.

2)on the beach i talked to the worker, picked up the martini glass and hat, gave them to worker, then i picked up the umbrella, and also gave it  to worker, in the jungle I gave the fishing rod to that little guy, and he gave me his weapon. One screen later i used the weapon on the big bird and the game crashed. Too bad i didn't save the game. :'(

EDIT: Sorry if this has been posted before.

Kinoko

Sorry to constantly ask people this after bug reports but are you sure that you have the latest version? Check the readme file, it should say v1.2. The cricketer problem should be fine in the latest version. If you do have the latest, I'll go through and do some major checking again.
