Thank you all for playing, and thanks to the panel for the kind words!

Also- I'm writing to let everyone know that I may be moving my host in a while, so the file may not be available for a bit.

I'm hoping the fact that I had to redo my links means that you've moved already. The March FF is in final edit and I Forgot made the cut. If not and you can provide some sort of guaranteed link in-between then let me know.

LRH

The site has moved already but the link to the file should be the same. The link in the games page is updated as well, so everything should be all set. Thank you very much, that's exciting news! :D

stepurhan

The current link matches the one I used so that should all be OK then.

I really enjoyed playing this game.
There were some very thrilling dialogs.
The whole concept is fresh and challenging.

Congratulations :)

I am a weenie...I know there's a "hints and tips" section but...I am just stuck in general!!   :'(

I am basically stuck walking around having picked up everything that wasn't nailed down, and have found absolutely no way to use anything.  So--call me dumb, call me a cheater...but you say the game takes only about 15 minutes to complete (on a quick run, I know), and even though it's so short...it is absolutely bothering me to NO end that I cannot complete this game.  I do love it, by the way...might be nice to mention that small brown-nosing detail...

So this is my plead....since it's so "short", anyone want to take pity on a frazzled mom with 2 crazy toddlers-- that this game is my saving sanity right now-- to write me a quick walkie-thru??  Pretty please?  With strippers on top?  (Or whatever floats your boat...)

LRH

Hahah sure, I'll PM you one :P

SarahLiz

PM'd you back...thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!   :D  Made my day!!

Awesome!

The music from "I Forgot" is now here:

Ouch...just checked the votes page and I've been slammed without a comment. :'(

I'd just like to know, whoever it may have been, what made it outright "a bad game"?
It's perfectly fair to score it that way, but I don't like not knowing why...

SarahLiz

Well, I just submitted my votes, and all of them were positive.  I honestly loved the game--it was an interesting concept of events, & overall I can't complain (and I didn't).  I really enjoyed playing it.  I have no idea why it scored the way it did, and yet no one who submitted low ratings had the courtesy of explaining why they felt that way?  How is a person supposed to make changes or (potentially) improve his work for his his next game if he doesn't know what people want?

Anyhoo--I liked it.  Period.  No complaints here.   ;)

Thanks Sarah :P

And I missed it earlier -- big thank you to mods!

Also I noticed Ascovel... I didn't include any timed sequences...are you talking about
Spoiler
the door at the end?

Yeah, you said it yourself that
Spoiler
"There's no trick to it...you just have to be very, VERY quick!"

, so that qualifies as a timed sequence to me. And I found this bit really frustrating.

I enjoyed all the other puzzles though and I enjoy your games in general. I'm curious what you'll cook up next.

Oh, by quick I meant
Spoiler
you have to click quickly before the mouse flies away. But...you have all the time in the world to try to open it. :P

I have to give credit to ddq for coding that for me, it was a clever code.

I don't see any difference between the 2 descriptions. The game doesn't give you
Spoiler
all the time in the world to click the door, which means you don't have all the time in the world to open the door. The window of opportunity is timed.

I'm sorry if my dissatisfaction with that small fragment seems to have dominated my comment. It wasn't that terribly important for me. I just felt that was an unexpected small flaw in an otherwise very solid game.

LRH

Oh, I see what you're saying. In that sense, yeah I guess it is timed. I was thinking of something more along the lines of what you'd see in a game like Rein where you need to move before something slams into you with some heavy (no pun intended) consequences. Also, no your comment doesn't drive the feelings behind the comment. I'm sorry if I made it seem like I was too concerned with it, I was honestly just pretty confused.

I loved the atmosphere and story!

Some critiques;
*There were great potentials for a puzzle at some points. For example,
Spoiler
the instructions for the lasers could be 'hinted' and we would solve it as a player. And we could see the hi-score list and the extra-ordinary score
[close]
*The texts of the last room (where background is all white) were so hard to read. I would use an alternative font without outline (because it isn't needed when background is all white) at that scene.
*There could be a little delay before Display works.
*In that room where we encounter lasers, viewport could move to show us the lasers before our characters talk about them. Players would think "Lasers? What lasers?" there.
Games are art!
