Looks like I lied about going to play Saints that other day, because I only started and played through it this evening.

Some great stuff in here. I loved particularly the visuals - little animations, impressive lighting, the transition between the beach and the forest looks particularly fab.

Making this a more whimsical take on Indy worked really well (as in Temple of Spheres) and being able to play as Lando Carlissan for a while was neat. Shame you didn't fit in some female characters as well (Where is Shelly?).

Also, is the music and locations borrowed from the Fountain of Youth? A lot of work seems to have gone into them.

The puzzles were a bit too much about pushing buttons and stuff for me, but I understand you had to rush to get this game done in time for holidays.

I hope you do some optimization to this game.  The exits in the cliff area are particularly irksome (Lando gets stuck sometimes).

nice work on all the mini games, but if we added up all the time wasted releasing mini games then the actual game could probably have been finished by now.

Yeah.  They're fun to play and I'm grateful of the the hard work the team puts into them.  But I'd be just as satisfied with one yearly screenshot from the full game in lieu of these releases if it meant the full game would release sooner.

Thanks!

QuoteLando 'Cockney' McWotsisname and the Sloppy Case of Sarcasm!

Yep, Indy sleeping makes it a far easier piece to try and write :P Maybe it is time for a recruitment drive on the writers front.

QuoteShame you didn't fit in some female characters as well (Where is Shelly?).

Perhaps they'll take to another interactive adventure next year ;)

All the art and music is made especially for Passage of Saints (except the Indy sprite). The only things from the full game are Lando, and the GUI :)

There's a lot of data, a small team - and if it was done we might not be as motivated to do a Christmas release :P So from a gains point of view this is probably the best option, the day you get FoY, you'll have a bunch of mini-games to go with it too :)

Quoteif it meant the full game would release sooner.

Sure thing, it's a slow project. We're still building assets, and one of the hardest things is consistency. For example, Misja can't draw twenty beautiful animated pixel backgrounds in a day, the screens in the full game with all their detail take near on a month each to perfect.

Great character animation doesn't fall out of the sky either.. The important thing is that soon enough, all the assets will exist, and then it can be programmed to full in a short space of time. Getting the full game out IS important but it really is a hobby project with a website  := You can see there are many Indy point & clicks in development these days and there will be plenty more. Including this one  8)

We've got a Facebook page now (apparently) so if we get a few likes we'll definitely update with screenshots and so forth, you'll probably see the production of backgrounds and stuff too! Oh it's here:

Appreciate the interest though, and glad Passage of Saints brought some enjoyment :)

Actually, just the interface graphics was exposed in PoS. The underlying functionality of our SCUMM system for FoY is extremely complex, powerful and vastly superior.
