HI, my name is NAAMLOCK and I''m french.

(sorry for my poor english ^^)

I have used  ADVENTURE GAME STUDIO to make a game ... in fact, it's not a real game but an interactive short story (in black & white).

The story tell the trip of NELLY (a lonely cow-boy) in the NOWHERE (A sort of nothingness).

The nowhere is populated with shadows.

In this "game" Certain places and sequences can shock the youngest.

So, if you are under 21 years old , DON'T DOWNLOAD IT!!!

Your English is just fine (especially compared to that guy in the previous thread...)  but you're going to need an English version of your game if you want to get a lot of attention. My French is basic, to say the least!

Ozzie

Yeah. Since it is less a game and more an interactive story it isn't very interesting for non-french speakers.
But the graphics and animations are very nice!
Robot Porno,   Uh   Uh!

You don't really have to make a whole new version, just export a translation source.  Then you can translate your script to English and have it selectable from the game's setup.  If you're unsure about your English, I'd be willing to go over your translation and fix any errors.

Hey Naamlock, I played the game in French and found it very enjoyable, although sometimes the text went by a little quickly for a non-native speaker like me. I found myself having to look at objects more than once to get the meaning, and occasionally you lost me during the cutscenes. However, the story was very cool. The main character reminded me of V from "V for Vendetta." I'm curious as to what inspired this story, or if it was based on anything. Very neat game, especially for a first game. :)

Congrats on your first release eh  ;D I hope everything was okay with my translation!

I liked the game, of course, I don't translate stuff I dislike (seriously). By the way, where did you get the idea of eating a lizard's tail? Is it from a video game, perhaps?

P.S: "Le Nowhere" / "The Nowhere" ---> je n'ai pas mis "the", j'ai juste traduit par exemple "how did you end up nowhere" (un peu comme un jeu de mots "comment t'as atteri nulle part") c'est bon??

naamlock

As for the video game --> yes! I was alluding to Shadow of the Colossus! You can kill them and eat their tails, and it would add up to your HP. But a smarter way to deal with lizards was to shoot an arrow and pin them down by their tail. They would then struggle, and eventually run away, and leave their tail behind! I say it's smarter because the lizards would regrow their tails, meaning more HP for you. And in your game, Nelly eats the tails to regenerate, so I thought it was a reference to the game.

Cube was an insane movie that I loved!! And Gozu is soooo crazy! I liked the part where all the yakuza skins are hanging in the warehouse  ;D

Terence is my favorite character in the game! Except when he talks! Which means... all the time  ;D

naamlock

sorry, I can't translate my last message because my English is to bad for that ... ^^

naamlock

I'm very happy  because this game is translated in ENGLISH, it's  a second life for it ... I hope you'll play with it and post a feedback.
I know it's strange, too short & not perfect  but I made it sincerely

Storygamer

Just found this game--I'm very glad to learn you made an English translation, which I am downloading right now!  I already love the basic concept and the screenshot looks very promising.  Looking forward to playing something different and unique here...and possibly (dare I say it?) artsy?
