Puzzle Bots is a joint venture between Wadjet Eye Games and Lively Ivy.

The robots are escaping.

There’s a big secret at Dr. Hugo’s Factory for Making Robots. When the inventors aren’t looking, their tiny robots go on big adventures. They never expected to stumble onto a plot so diabolical it threatened their very existence. With lasers.

It all starts when Zander - possibly the world’s most absent-minded inventor - trips over a metal box buried outside the factory. When no-one can figure out how to open it, the robots sneak out and try it for themselves. What they discover is the first step to a grand adventure, leading to a mystery as old as the factory itself.

Join the robots as they outwit mischievous children, curious animals, and dysfunctional inventors in their quest to find the truth. Will the robots solve the mystery before it’s too late?

Find out by visiting Dr. Hugo’s factory yourself!

Price: $14.99

Congrats on completing this.  I'm definitely looking forward to playing this one.

Ps: don't forget to add it to the database and your profile this time. :P

Also Dave, it'd be easier for all of us to put a download link to the demo, as you did in the WIP topic of Puzzle Bots!
Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)

Yes! Yes!  Yes!  It's finally Friday!!!   ;D ;D  I am so excited to try out my new game!!  Thanks for all you & your team's hard work to make such a beautiful and quirky game!

**ok, at the risk of getting shot (which I know I will!), is there a walkthrough planned for this game??  I know it's jumping the gun but I'm THAT weirdo who likes to play a game with my trusty hintbook by my side.  Oh wait, there is a "hint" button on this game, is that right?   :o

~Sarah

Edited to add:  yep, I see it right there, clear as day on the screens.  Sorreeeee!  :)  (I still like a walkthrough though, I'm odd like that  ;))

The only thing better than this game would be a robot puzzle adventure game made by Ivy and Dave G... oh wait!
When I was a little kid we had a sand box. It was a quicksand box. I was an only child... eventually.

I haven't even started the game, but already stumbled upon a bug... are you guys kidding me?

Installation program sais the game requires at least 1560 MB  :o
Well... okay... but the game folder is only about 800 MB. Where's the rest? Who #$%ng stole half of my game?  :D

UPD: and also, you are using Starcraft mouse cursor... is Blizzard aware of this?  ;D

Dave Gilbert

Hi CW.  I'd love to help, but I'm not sure what your problem is exactly.  You unpacked the installer and only received half the files?  It the executable file there? If so, what happens when you try to run the game?

Crimson Wizard

Lol sorry, I was just kidding  ;)
Game is run properly. I am playing 1st level right now.

Seriously though, it feels like installation app doubles the actual size of the data it is about to install; as I mentioned above it told me I must have at least 1560 MB free space on my hardrive, while game is only about 800 MB.

Crimson Wizard

Whoops, I found a smaaal glitch.
When game tells that you have no games to load, the text of this message does not fit one line and is wrapped. However, the message "pane" is positioned so, that it allows only 1 line of text to be read.

Apart from that - a very cute game. I'll keep playing now and not bothering you with any bug reports.  :)

Andorxor

The demo runs for 10 minutes at my computer and than freezes.

Dave Gilbert

Andorxor, some quick questions: does it happen every time you play?  If so, does it happen in a specific spot?

Igor Hardy

I don't know why, but I just love being able to drop inventory items around - especially such huge ones. More adventure games should allow this.

Crimson Wizard

I know I am a bore, but here's a list of little bugs, or rather mistakes I found so far .
(none of them are even relatively serious though)

Spoiler

1. The first time Hero and Ultrabot escape from their habitat, the door to habitat became protected by lasers again, but the lock light is green, while logically it should become red.
2. During the Iby's test, there's a room where you must take key underwater to reveal a hole in the ground. When you do so, there's a sound of water going down, that's okay. If, however, you drop the key in the same room, and then take it again, the water sound repeats, although it obviously shouldn't.
3. When solving the puzzle with the frog on the pool, before the frog is "defeated", if you click on the fly when it sits on lily, frog tongue animation plays 2 times.

With the demo everytime and not at a specific place, the full version runs fine

I reckon I'm about halfway through, and will play the rest tonight, but just wanted to say, definitely worth the wait and the wonga so far.  Theres some neat puzzles, the dialogue is really funny, and the robots are both cute and awesome.  Pats on the back to Dave, Ivy and everone involved.

@CW, while I'm sure Dave appreciates the feedback, I don't think he wants a comprehensive list of minor mistakes clogging up the first page of his 'Completed Game' thread.  If it was me I'd rather you PM'd me instead of putting off potential customers. :)

I so don't get that.  But I could use a PR bot.
