Once upon a time...
In a ghetto far far away...
Welcome to Brookside County! Brookside is a thriving overpopulated community consisting of drunks, junkies, pimps, gangs, and whores. Oh yeah! Did I forget to mention? Brookside County has a very busy police department. The police of Brookside County don't have a lot of patience when it comes to keeping the youth in line. This spells "trouble" for a neighborhood gang of punks who are just a bunch of bored teenagers. On a ordinary saturday night Knox and his friends may have crossed the line a little too far. Okay! Maybe they REALLY crossed the line! Will Knox get busted? Will he get away? Maybe, he will go postal instead on the local police department? Find out what happens to Knox and his friends in this AGS adventure Razors In the Night!

Whee, downloading now! Looks really cool!
Right after the first cut and you can click in the room when it comes up out of the gutter .
I did manage to get past that with out an error .
Very cool game. Loved the idea of frightening realistic characters :)
Just downloaded and checked it out for a few minutes. I can tell there was a lot of time and effort put into this project. I'll play it all this weekend when i get a chance.

Thanks for posting. I really appreciate your kind words. I'm just stoked to hear that people are playing it. It makes all the hard work I put into this worth it :) Modgeulator's sound work was a huge contribution to it I think. Very lucky to have him help me out. Just had a complete blast making this and am looking forward to starting another project.

"Interesting" is absolutely right word for that game, IMO. Despite some small problems, such as weak animation and too contrasty colors, this game is really exciting because it's soo detailed!
Sound effects are very well done, too.
edit: found some bugs... I talked to watch seller and after trying all dialog options, game crashed out and gave following error:
"An error has occured. Please contact the game author for support, as this is likely to be a scripting error and not a bug in AGS.
Error: DoDialog: all options have been turned off"

Every time I look at the ATM machine by cinema (the closeup), one ATM-card is added to my inventory

When entering to zoomed-out-city-view-room and clicking on dropped wallet with "look" cursor, guy walks directly to the wallet, directly as *over* the church, ignoring any walkable areas or walkbehinds, if there's any
Anyway, helluva great game.

Thanks for letting me know about those nasty bugs. I will have to fix them right away. I'm going to release a second version soon because other people have noticed a couple more bugs also. This definitely helps me out. Really appreciate your support and very glad you liked my first game :)

Version 2.0 is now released. Recently I received some emails regarding bugs found in the game. I have fixed them and released a second version.
Here is what I fixed:
-Fixed game crashing due to having too many overlays in the first room.
-Fixed game crashing problem right after talking to the watch dealer.
-Fixed more silly typos I made.
-Fixed the problem in the church room where Knox walks directly over walk behinds to pick up the badge. You now have to be close to the object in order to get it.
-Removed the problem where an ATM card is added to your inventory every time you leave the ATM screen.
If you currently already have version 1.0 installed just download the game again from the same links and re-install this one.

Is the Rar the updated one as well? I suppose the Exe is an installer?
Maybe you should name the files accordingly, razors20.rar etc.
I'm looking forward to playing it, but I always wait a few days before playing new games until the major bugs are fixed.

It totally slipped my mind. Yes the exe file is the installer. Good idea btw about renaming the files. I decided to just go ahead and leave the main razors.exe the same name (even though it is version 2.0) because I have already posted the link all over the place and I would hate for peole to get an older or broken link (I did rename the winrar file though). So I just updated that file to the second version 2.0. If you already previously downloaded it before just download it again and re-install it again and you will have the newer version. Hope you enjoy the game ;)

Unfortunately on the first playable screen, I got the too many overlays error.
I think it was during the urinating idle animation.

I'm glad you had a chance to check it out. I appreciate you letting me know about that bug you found. Do you remember in what room and at what part in the game where the game crashed and when you got the too many overlays error? I had this problem before but I thought I removed all of them. It has to do with the background speech still repeating after I leave certain rooms I think. Bummer! I guess I will have to check it out and fix it. Watch out! Potential version three in the making ;) BTW thanks for posting I appreciate hearing what people think. I have put a ton of work into this and it's my very first game so any comments or suggestions would help me so the next one I make can be a lot better.

Yeah that's a good point. I just figured the file size would be a little smaller in WINrar but now that I'm looking at it again it isn't that much different. Thanks for pointing that out I would have never noticed that ;D So yeah I will see how much smaller the files are without the installer compressed and see how much of a difference it makes. I understand a lot of people still have dial up 56k connections and downloading small files like this can still take a long time.

I think it's the same game, just with a few bugs fixed. If you've played v1.0 through already, I don't think you need v2.0.
