Joky machinima about SP (Sequel Police, robot enemies from Space Quest IV), In Civil Protection (HL2) style.

Anyone can create new ones, just keep the style.

There're English & Russian versions.

Armageddon

This is a cool idea, I liked how you went from bit to bit, although they felt rushed at times. The swearing seemed a bit unneeded though. ;) Most of it was very funny, now you just need voice actors, and someone to correct your English.

Shane 'ProgZmax' Stevens

...and someone to move this somewhere other than completed games as, by your own admission it's not a game...

Seriously, why knowingly break the rules?

Sledgy

Armageddon, very thanks!!! ;D

ProgZmax, I tried to find the place for it... But I couldn't) There's no AGS video thread. Pls, replace it to an appropriate section.

splat44

Not only that!

Rules clearly states that you need to include few screenshots and a story with it!

When Darth move this, be sure to include what rules tells you!

Gilbert

These are not true though.

You don't need to provide any screenshot for completed games. Screenshots are only required in the production forum.

Also, Darth is not a mod in this forum, so he just cannot move this thread.

splat44

Since you miss quote my comment, I am including what I clearly said!

Ok, darth isn't mod from this form! Please re-read the last paragraph of my quote!
I tried to say, if thread being move to production area...

In the future again be sure to completely read comment before replying!

...
Did you even follow what this thread was about?
1. Darth isn't a mod of this forum, so he cannot move a thread away from here, even to a forum he moderates. We need a mod who has power over this forum (i.e. a global mod) to do this.
2. The reason people were suggesting that this thread should be moved was that these were not games, not because they were not "completed", so the production forum would not be the correct place for this to move to.

There's one shot in the first post. But I didn't want to show other ones, because it'll be spoiler :)

And these episodes haven't story, rather each episode have several mini stories. See it, and you'll undestand what I mean.

Strangely, there'snt place for AGS Video. Really it's not my first AGS Videos, I also have one SQ4-related joky video about our forum guys and future game SQ Online-Strike, and one intro of parody game about superhero, and one early demo of videocomics of anime Guyver (not just slideshow).

AGS is good tool for creating cartoons, why not? You even can grab video to avi via programs as Camtasia (and put in Youtube).

Gilbert

Actually, I am more leaned towards keeping this here, as these are indeed completed products made with AGS. As long as it's correctly tagged in the topic what these are all about (which has been done here already) I think it's just fine.

Rules clearly states that
1. you need to include few screenshots and
2. a story with it!
3. When Darth move this, be sure to include what rules tells you!

Let's clear that up:

1. A screenshot is not required. (It is required in the game-in-production part of the forum)
2. A story is not required but recommended.

also:
3. The thread title must contain the project's name.
4. A download of a finished project must be available.
A project can be a game but also a non-game project. (in my case: I once made a screensaver, written in AGS, which is also a valid project.).
So Sledgy's project might be alright to be posted here.

(Although I might would have posted such project as this in the "Adventure-related talk and chat" or the "General Discussion" part of the forum...)

Conclusion:
1. no rules have been broken... :)
2. splatt44: you need to re-examine the rules closer ;)

QuoteThis forum is for the posting of completed AGS-made games.
And it's probably obvious because it is called "Completed Game Announcements".
I don't want to get into some argument or something, but this is what I read in the rules section.

That title was made when there were probably only games made with AGS (<= 06-2005).
Later on (> 06-2005) also non-game projects appeared, like screensavers for example.
So maybe adjust that title?

I am really sorry, I thought that this forum was supposed to follow the latest updated rules, even if they were made ten years ago. And if you can break the rules and nothing happens, like you said, then they should update the rules thread. And then again if no one follows the rules they should update it, or maybe no one is monitoring? Anyway I won't adjust what I said in the post before. It is not for us to decide whether this should be moved or not. That is the job of the moderators.

Khris

splat44 wasn't talking about the rules of this forum, he was pointing out that as soon as this thread gets moved to GiP, it's going to violate the rules over there.

Just saying.

I guess this thread should be in Adventure-related talk and chat, right?

Armageddon

This is some serious thread derailment. :P

Thanks kris, that's exactly what I pointing out!

Babar

Whatever it is, it's not incomplete, so why would it be moved to GiP?

(I'd post something more on topic, but I haven't played/viewed the episodes yet.)

And the fact that nobody ever mentioned that this should be moved to GiP before.
