At last!
Downloading now! Weeeeeee!

Edit:

I've found some bugs:
·The game crashes when using the rope on the hook
·When using the fuse with Alluminium Mallard at the room of the bar entrance, Roger says that his keys are not working, despite having his keys recharged with the new battery.

Occasionally when you try to download, you get the message that it's currently unavailable. It looks like all you have to do is try again because it loaded on my third try.

Unfortunately, I also encountered this bug with the hook. "Invalid object specified". I hope that you can fix it soon :-)

Had to try again.
To avoid the crash: Open the inventory, pick the hook and use it on the other item.

I just went into the bar, took the hook, and used the rope on the hook, without moving from the room.

Now playing: Congratulations on this great work! Brings memories back!

When in the inventory using the communicator on the fuse (which I think should be spark plug instead of fuse) I get the message: "A master keycard for all doors and nearly any other locks (except Engineering)"... ?

When moving your mouse to the top of the screen to see the actionbar the images of the active inventory items are streched, giving some strange effects sometimes.

Clicking on the guitarists of ZZ-Top in the bar Roger says: A stage with a band and a singer. Clicking on the  dancer I get just the notification: A stage with a dancer and a band. Nothing major, just inconsistent.

Spoiler
And when having enginetrouble after escaping my almost-marriage, clicking anything on the statusscreen on the right (the home of A3D), results in a wait icon. I can see "No way" in black but not very clear.
[close]

Spoiler
Giving the datadisk back to the security officer first gives you: "I don't want to give him that" then you give him the disc and key... ?

I got this bug too. I was standing in my ship, and it was directly after I picked up the old rope. I went into my inventory and used the rope on the hook. I got the message that "I now have a hook on a rope" or something like that and the game froze, shut down, and I got the error message. I haven't tried using the hook on the rope yet.

EDIT: using the hook on the rope does not make the game crash- the game only crashes when the rope is used on the hook (I know that's already been established).

Hello agentbauer!
When I used the string on the hook, I got a text box similar to piperhcombs. It was visible only for about half a second, then a new box appeard that reported a scripting error and with this, the game ended. But it is easy to work around this bug. I used the hook on the string (instead of using the string on the hook).

Again : Nice work, it is fun to play and fits well into the SQ series.

Another few bugs:

Spoiler
You can get multiple piece of tape from the console, use them on the switch and use the switch on the door

and a crash when using HAL3000:

Error: SetDialogOption: Invalid option number specified.

Spoiler
I have all necessary parts but instead of using the Crackmaster, I use HAL3000 directly (touch). If I use the Crackmaster, there's no problem.

But I have always wanted to do that same thing too on my logo but never know how to do it.

Another bug found:

You can keep talking to the doctor on deck 5 and ....  keep getting points...

And even some more:

Spoiler
You can't ask the waitress for a drink only after you've used part one and part two together. That said: you can't use part 1 on part 2 (No, I can't use these things together), you can use part 2 on part 1. I know you can't put liquid in a crystal and must put crystal in the liquid, but it's a bit far-fetched) The same goes for 1/2 on 3 (can't use these together) or 3 on 1/2.

The doctor, damn, that normally should not work, will look in the script, thanks!
And the liquids, I know, but I wanted it this way, I don't want that you randomly click anything on anything.
The Waitress, well maybe I'll change that for the Release 1.1, makes the game a little bit easier...

By the way, you would be a very good beta-tester ;)

You're not getting it. I can't find any download-links: if I choose the Download direct link, I end up on a link-less (apart from advertisements) page of megaupload.com. The page does seem to refer to your game since it contains the following text:

Bestandsnaam: InstallSqIV.5.exe                           Beschrijving: Space Quest IV.5 Full Game
Bestandsgrootte: 63.72 MB

Also, it asks me to fill in my UWV. What's that?

All download links eventually lead to megaupload.com, so I'm effectively stuck. Can't you put it on another hoster?

Fill in the letters and click on download (on the right, next to the field) another window opens and after a few moments, you can click on "free download" and the download will start!

But I will also add a mirror with Release of V1.1

Well, I must agree with the general consensus here: great game! (shame about the typos) (also a shame that the game keeps crashing when I put the rope and the hook together.

How could this have been missed during beta testing?

A good game, but some comments:

1-There is nothing at the end to tell you how many points you earned.

2-Part of the fun of the old Space Quest games was that it was so easy to die if you did something stupid, like walking beneath an overhang where monsters lurked, or wandering into the line of sight of a sequel policeman.  Here that isn't the case, and I think the game would have been improved if there were death opportunities.  Three points that come to mind are wandering around on Planet X, Hal's security field, and bothering that intense mechanic on Deck 5.

3-There were two points in the game where the answer to a puzzle was not indicated by a clue.  The bartender who reprograms the crystal, and the starship repair kit underneath the seat that was totally invisible to the eye.  That's not a good design choice.  On a related note, there were too many red herring objects.

4-The spy subplot was too obvious, especially with the note in the Janitor's cart.

5-The ending, where we find out how Roger passed the test to enter Starcon, was hilarious!

So, now I am finally able to answer.
First of all, thanks for the comments

Nr.1 Hmm, right, I forgot to add a "you got xxx points out of xxx" I'll add that in the next version.

Nr.2 I did not like to get killed doing only one wrong step, so I did change that.

Nr.3 There were some hints, if you talk to the bartender he tells you something about the crystals..
And the first aid kit, OK, that is a try and error puzzle, you're right ;)

Nr.4 Yes it is obvious, but isn't that typical for Roger Wilco??

Nr.5 Thank you very much :)

@danooct1

thanx, and I thank you for your help  :D

Great game in terms of puzzles and plot. Sure nice to see these SQ places again. And the dialogues with the narrator were hillarious.
Maybe you can do Leisure Suit Larry 4 next  ;D
My main criticism is about the English, which has gone worst and worst as the game progressed. YOu should have a native English speak proof read all your text next time.

Great game, I'm really enjoying this one (even though I don't really remember the old SpaceQuest games very much, apart from having one where I repeatedly got killed on the first screen!  ::) - might well have been IV...).

With a voice pack it would be truly awesome... hope you manage to get that sorted!
