From the guy that named Nelly Cootalot comes a new adventure that will for ever change the way you view games made by long ginger haired, beardy men that live in York.
Stediddy in IP1; Employment. (http://hosted.filefront.com/unclemum)
Your hero for this high octane adventure of office etiquette and merciless death is a humble young, apparently Mexican, moron know to all as Stediddy.
After a number of misdemeanours young Stediddy has been told in no uncertain terms that he must seek out gainful employment or face some serious, if a tad unfocused, wrath.
And so you join Stediddy as he approaches his interview, ready to embark on a journey of Full Voice Acting, migs and megs of hand drawn graphics and multiple conclusions all in the hope that he will reach “The Good Endingâ€.

This is the first part of an episodic adventure for young Stediddy. It is not a lengthy jaunt but it is, hopefully, an entertaining one filled with clocks and confusion, mute men and misdirection, railroads and randomness all with the promise of Hot Girls to come.
The game can be downloaded here (http://hosted.filefront.com/unclemum) and I very much hope you enjoy this far fetched tale of a badly drawn simpleton.

Congratulations on releasing your game! I just saw you in Boyes buying crisps!
I think this game is hilarious, particularly the male vocals, and I hope others agree. If like me you enjoy / have the patience for Achtung Franz, Good Morning Mr Gingerbread and The Life of D. Duck, then you stand a chance of viewing the animated spectacular of the good ending.
What's up with the semi-colon in the title though? I thought it was a full colon.
Really cool and funny game, I'm enjoying it!
There seems to be a mistake in the game...
Spoiler
I got stuck trying to input the code for the keypad, and had to ask for help in hints and tips. Turns out you have to enter Z, square, I, IIII instead of Z, square, I, III which is the code you are given. Since I can find no reason to indicate this different code I can only put it down to a mistake?
Nice work!
Funny game with mistakes?! ???
Tasty rotten apple?! ???
Take off your pink glasses! >:(
If I die in the room of wine bottles and select Load from the given options, I get a message saying "Not now" and then I'm just stuck.
Apart from some errors, this game seems pretty fun. And I like how smoothly the interface works. :)
Whoops! I don't know how the door code mistake slipped through the net... Needless to say I blame the whole thing on illegal immigrants. Statistics show they're after our women.
I've corrected the errors reported so far.
I only wish the game was as significant as Stan's contribution to the AGS community.

No, give the pink glasses to the woodcutter. He gives you a magical axe which you can use to chop down the golden tree.
Liked the total absurdity. What can you tell us about the sequel?
Thanks to those that have downloaded it so far (I’m liking the fact that the walk-through has been more downloaded than the instructions â€" good job Ali insisted on it.)
Ali â€" It’s mean to be a semi-colon. Like the game itself the title is episodic, so the full title of the next game will be Stediddy in IP1; Employment, Hot Girls, Death & Marshmallows. And so on. And so on.
And speaking of the next game, work on Stediddy… Hot Girls, Death & Marshmallows will be underway soon, I already have 100 monkeys working on 100 Apple Macs bashing out the plot.
It will be the best of times, it will be the blurst of times….
Will the graphic style in all the screens be similar to this one, or are you going combine it with some different ones?
I have now updated my FileFront (http://hosted.filefront.com/unclemum/) page with the new version of the game, as well as the patch that Ali has made.
Cyrus â€" I’m kind of constrained by my lack of any real artistic ability but for the next instalment I am going to try to combine the Stediddy look with some other styles. What those other styles are I’m not sure yet, but I’ll have fun trying to find out.
You may apply to somebody who has better drawing skills.

I don't think you should change the art style at all, I thought it was absolutely brilliant!
Great, first the game now this.. damn, fuck university, I'm playing these. The word fuck is used gratuitously.
Man, I love hand-drawn games. I'm gonna make one too sometime ;)
Too bad you haven't got more animations, but I know how hard it is to animate these kind of graphics, so it's understandable.
It really has a great atmosphere. And the strangest thing is: I have no idea why.
The graphics aren't that great, the music and the wacky humor don't go together, but... I wouldn't suggest you change a thing. It's really entertaining - so good job!
Well, this was a short fun game!
Nice voice acting, too.
Very random and senseless, but also enjoyable, and this counts for me. :)
Hey, I almost forgot to mention how much I adore the owl. He's the man!
I try downloading stediddy_release2.zip, but every time, it says my download failed. Whazzis?
I don't have any problems with this (http://postdownload.filefront.com/12118498//5131985d2b92dcf656cb9394c3da3c79156b124caa1c146d6c387e19ec451f562e293ae8a3274bcd) link. The one mentioned in the post doesn't work for me either. Maybe you have more success with this (http://hosted.filefront.com/unclemum) page?
(bump)
Hey Uncle-Mum, any news on the second episode - Stediddy in IP1; Employment, Hot Girls, Death & Marshmallows.?
Cheers,
Motters.
PS, liked the 3d version in the 'release it now' thread. looks like a similar style to Biggles on Mars
Hey, where I can download this game. The links presented here are all dead.
You're right, they are dead now. I've uploaded it here (http://gamesolutions.efzeven.nl/downloads/) for the time being.
Thanks, downloading it now.
Really sorry about the mess around with the upload problems - I've been alway for a bit and filefront took all my stuff down without warning.
It can now also be found here (http://files.filefront.com/13919939) (though I really should find somewhere new to upload)
As for the next game the future is looking unsure. I attempted to make the first one on my tod and had to get Ali to pick through the mess I'd made and make the whole thing work (the finished game is quite different from the one I'd originally planned - in a good, far more user friendly, sorta way) but seeing as Ali has now selfishly upped sticks and moved to London to "follow his dream" I'm not quite sure what will happen. I know what I'd like to do, just no real way/talent to do it. But I haven't given up hope.

That's a shame. So let me get this, you need a programmer?
Well yes, a programmes is what I need. But as well as that I need some that can turn my garbald ideas into something approaching a game - someone to insist on the adding of puzzles and "plot" and removing swearing and death (neither of which I've been led believe are as funny as I think they are) and I more than understand that that's a job that noone would want.
But I'm going to carry on making the sets and I'm sure one day I'll sit down and try and learn what I'm doing.
