Ah, hello. Now, this is how the things are. I've just made a game (my first, true attemp!!!). It is called "Sir Reginald: The Tear of The God"
So if you want it, come and get it. Should warn you tought, it is about
20 megs in size. And it shold be said, that it is in beta thasis, so every char anim is not up to par yet. But it should be fully playable.

http://koti.mbnet.fi/~stt/beta

if you don't get it from that address, try this:

http://koti.mbnet.fi/~stt/beta/reginald.zip

Thanks for your for your time.

I'd just like to inform, that there is also a finnish site, wher you can get my game, adress would be

http://koti.mbnet.fi/%7Estt/beta/regi.php

As I said, the page is entarely in finnish, but it also contains two pictures from the game, so chek it out if you like.

I just had a quick play, and walked around all the seens I could and had a chat with a few characters, The game looks really promising. I know it's in a beta phase, just a suggestion, which I'm sure you're probably aware of anyway and will fix, but there isn't much info when you look around the screens and the charater scaling doesn't change yet.

The backgrounds look great, some are better than others but i'm sure you are going to touch up everything.

I'll tell you more when I've played some more,

quite impressive hippie,

are you new to these forums? obviously not new to AGS but I don't think I've seen you post before, Welcome anyway, I'm reasonably new to these forums myself, probably a couple of months but I've known about AGS for over a year.

hippie

I am not so new with the AGS itself. Reginalds first version was actually made with last dos version of AGS, then I updated it to win AGS. God, yes. It has been couple of years, since I found this engine.

My first game, never released, was "Quest for Teletubbies" where our fair hero traveled through four screens, trying to find a Teletubbie for his brothers collections. Sadly I've lost the files. You will never experience it.

As for forums, I've made couple question in help forums, but this was loong, looooong time ago. And I was not registered yet. But I was Hippe.

Yes... rite... i've plased this notification here last x-mas, but it seems, that this has not aroused, well, attention. So puhlese, try my game. Please?

C&C would be nice. (And yes, i haven't made any improvements. This is for Timosisty, who seems to be the only one who has replied on this. )

Mmh I remember having downloaded this game, the characters were still in developpement (The npc looked like the monkey island ones, as you said)... Haven't you posted another topic about it ? Oh and is this version the same as before ?

I think that if nobody replied, it was mainly because of the game size, and the fact it was still in a beta-test (Downloading 20 megs for a beta games was certainly dissuasive) . There where lot of games released between november and december, and your post was probably unnoticed.

Now, I tried to download the game, but without success. All I got is a 200ko corrupted file.

No, this is the only post I've made for this game. And yes, char anims are taken from Monkey Island. Actually to be honest, I do not remember is this the little bit improved version, wich has better looking main character anim. I've been little lazy with this particular project, due I have been doing some experiments with 3D graphics with BLENDER.

Oh ok. So if it is the same game as before, I should have said long time ago that I really loved the graphics, and the talking animations are very good. I even showed it to a friend, so that he could see what is possible to do with AGS.
If I remember correctly, the way outlines were drown made the graphics look like comics. Yeah, some backgrounds were also beautiful, like the forest-clearing background.
I haven't played a lot, because I didn't fully understand what the game was about, and why some locations were accesible.

I'm sure this game would be excellent if you finished it.
Good work

There was one thing I forgot to ask earlier, conserning mainly the introduction movie. The question is: Did it play correctly? because I compressed it with XP movie maker (believe or not) and I am not actually sure did that piece of crap program use any external compressor, like divX or sumthing.
