    The Great Casserole Caper

You're trapped at your psychotic uncle's house for Easter dinner, and there's a highly-dangerous casserole machine in the next room churning out a food so foul that to eat it would be to give up humanity itself.  What do you do?

As ten-year-old Jeffrey McCracken, your mission is to survive a visit to Uncle Rigatoni's house and destroy the vile, plutonium-powered Casserole-O-Matic in the process.  However, along the way, you'll meet up with the numerous (and borderline insane) members of the extended McCracken clan, nearly all of whom are inexplicably named after Italian food.  From the dim-witted Uncle Fettuccini to the crossdressing infant Peanut to the foul-mouthed Rigatoni himself, there's no telling what kind of perils lie in store for our young protagonist.

In order to accomplish the many tasks at hand for Jeffrey to accomplish, he must solve an almost unnecessarily large number of puzzles.  These can range from changing the channel on the television to uprooting a port-a-potty at the local park, all in the most absurd way possible.  Though none of Jeffrey's solutions to these problems truly defy logic, they certainly aren't what most people would think to do in the given situation.  There are also many secrets and locked doors in Uncle Rigatoni's house.  Can you explore and take advantage of the entire building's resources to bring an end to the Casserole-O-Matic?

-3.2Mb zip file up for download contains hours of gameplay!
-Relatives so strange they make your family look normal!
-Over fifty rooms to discover and explore!
-BONUS!  Includes an in-game casserole recipe (though it is rather disgusting)!

If I was one of those shrunken kids I'd just pick up the phone and have my psychotic uncle arrested.

But the game looks cute, I'm gonna try it out :)

Stupot

Looks fun and sounds interesting.  I'll download now but won't get to play it yet.  I have a bit of a backlog.

Congratulations on completing the game.

The game looks great. But I can't download .ace. Is there chance you can put into zip or rar form? Thanks!

I just tried downloading by using internet explorer and it worked. Sorry about the bit above!

Can you be more specific? Is the cord just laying on the floor of the upstairs room, is it gone, or is it going through the doorway or something?

Something is up with the download Dashe, it keeps giving me an error when I try to access the FTP storage. I'll try to find some hosting for the site, but that will probably take a while to design and set up, especially with all the classes I'm taking.

Finished your game and really liked it. Had a lot of fun and this is what games are all about. There seems to be a problem in that you can get stuck in the house if you don't use the

Your game was pretty funny too, though I think the swearing was excessive at times. The puzzles were good, the story good, music and graphics good too. Thanks for creating it and I hope to see another from all of you.

I agree, the game was a lot of fun.

A few glitches when restoring a game, sometimes inventory items vanished and others appeared. It didn't hinder me to finish the game.

When looking at inventory items, the text was hidden behind the dialog box. This has been reported elsewhere.

But still hope to see more games like this :-)

Hey Z, I got a friend of mine to host a zip file, so you can try and download that and see if it works.  Probably not a bad idea for people who like zip files too.

Dashe, make the .zip download the deafult download link and just remove the .ace file. Also, go to the Games page and edit the TGCC entry in Full Length games so that the download link now leads to the .zip file.

Absolutely Hillarious game! It was like going back to the world of the old Larry Vales games. Just the thing to liven up one's dull day.

I finished it in just a few hours.

Two thumbs up.

Please do consider a sequel with the same characters.

How 'bout  "The return of cousin Macaroni and mutant Rigatoni"  ;)

Please do consider a sequel with the same characters.

That may happen yet, but we've got a super-secret ultimate project in the works right now, so it'll probably be a few years before we make another TGCC. We have considered the option, though!

And you can bet when that time comes, I'll have some ideas in the works.  Heck, I've had sequel possibilities in the works since...well...since working on the first game.   ;)

But don't worry, our next project's gonna be a smash!

Is it all right if I adapt this into a short screenplay? I'll give credit where credit is due. I'm just a bit bored right now with writing, and I think this would make a hilarious video. Feel free to e-mail me with your answer. I don't check posts very regularly on here.
