Where's M' Hat Ma ?

Why can't I get to shoot hats...what am I missing...

I have all but 2 cards after i pick up the devil card...I get stuck in the brothers room...it wont let me out...says i cant go up the stairs i am frightened by what is up there and i cant find another way out...when i try to go up the stairs the first time it fades out like there is supposed to be a cut scene but there isnt it fades back into the room i am in

I know I got stuck when I walked over to the right of that room but I mean stuck like frozen, couldn't walk anywhere, had to reboot. I looked at everything in that room, picked up the card, screen goes all kinda red, walked by Emily and Ma said, poor Emily, then I went to the stairs and I got message saying nothing is going to stop Ma now. Walked up the stairs and it took me out on to the top of the castle and there was a cut scene.

Strange,Ã,  I went to reload one of my saves in Hat game. And got this message///////Ã,  Ã,  This game was saved with the interpreter running at a different resolution.Ã,  It cannot be restored.Ã,  What caused this?Ã,  I cannot get into that game on any of my saves to play it......

I can't really comment much on this. It should just be a case of running winsetup.exe and selecting the screen resolution or windowed mode, which you were using to play the game when you saved it. If you haven't changed the setting though this should not need to be done and I have no idea why something changed it, perhaps you downloaded a newer version, which overwrote your settings, and anyway savegames might not be compatible with newer versions, even though they might 'appear' to work at first.

Well done Stephanie, wonder if you are the first to finish the game. I can't get past the hats, I can only get up to 750 points, guess my reflexes aren't what they used to be, you are probably years younger than me lol
Hope hints forum will be up soon, so many of us using this one now for hints we will be overloading the server again!

I have the branch from tree to cross river, the porridge, the stick, the berries, and the stone from cave, I managed to get back home, but cannot get the hat. From the inside of the fence, the sun is in my eyes. From the other side, wherever I stand, I cannot reach it from there. I figured I had to wait for the sun to come down so I went exploring everywhere again but got nothing else. So I am back home looking at the hat on the fence. I tried getting something else from the house but nothing

I am in the same point as Sunshinegold. I am trying to solve the puzzle in the cave.  My problem is that my screen is so dark that I can only make out 3 of the colors on the stones.  Also, I cannot see any of the symbols on the stones above the colors (if there are any).       I need some detailed help on solving this since I cannot see because of my screen contrast and light.

When I talk to the King and Queen, there is no way to escape the conversation - I get 'greetings' 'how can I serve you?' and 'has the prince returned?' (or words to that effect).

Once I've chosen the third option it disappears, and they say they'll give me a card as a reward. Now, I don't actually recall ever actually meeting a prince, and once I get to this point I can only choose 'greetings' and 'serve' from the conversation menu, neither of which allows me to leave.

Someone on page one of this thread had a similar problam I think, but the creator fixed it. Are you playing with the latest download. I know I had to d/l a few times because he kept fixing things for us. Stupid ? but have you tried adjusting your monitor, I know I had to lighten mine in a few games. Sorry I'm not very technical.

Didn't get this one, after conversation with king and queen, and I think you get 2 cards from them, after you have asked has prince returned you should get a cut screen saying, yes, do you want to see his room and it automatically takes you there. Have you a saved game just before this, I got stuck a few times in other places and I just kept trying again and again until finally something kicked in.

       Thanks..... I don't know if I have the latest version. Just downloaded yesterday with v 2.62.    I have made all the adjustments that I can on my monitor and setup.    I have played the game just fine until trying to work with the puzzle in the cave..... which  I cannot see well enough to solve.    Guess I will do like others and re-download!

How do I get the poster to stick to the hanged man?  As earlier post said to do this, but when I click the poster on the man, nothing happens.  What am I missing?

Possible card you are missing is the Heirophant, if you look at the temperance card (glass and straw picture), you will get this.Or talk to the queen to get the emperor card after saving the prince if you are missing this.

Finally finished it.  It was a good game.  The only thing I didn't care for were the action games.  That's just a personal thing though.  I play adventure games, because I don't like action games.  I'm no good at them.  It took me FOREVER to finish those parts.  I mean, I must have tried the hat shoot thing 30 times before I finally got it.  I kept getting to like 980 and 990, and I coudln't quite get to the thousand.  It doesn't help that my mouse is old and tends to stick sometimes.  But as a whole, the game was great!

So far I've only completed the one maze with the worm.  I have the piece of paper with a partial code on it (not sure what the last 3 digits are) and now I've found the secret passageway with the door.  I assume I'm supposed to punch numbers in the door somehow but I don't really understand the trick to working the buttons.  The only numbers I can seem to form are 0 and 8 - lol.
