Depends on where you're setting your game, really.
American police cars usually are patterned in black and white, British ones used to be black (I think) but now are mostly white (I think) and German ones are green and white, for example.
Of course if you want it to be more general, you might go with a combination of metallic greys, a bit like the forum headlines, but darker - think Detroit Police Department in RoboCop. It might also be a good idea to make the colour scheme match the uniforms of the cops you're using in your game.

Or, to be on the safe side, write "Police" somewhere on the scooter in large friendly letters. ;)

At any rate, you might want to stay away from "warm" colours like red or purple. (Although, come to think of it, a glaring traffic light orange might work. Then again, it might not, depending how your cops look).

..

It looks good, in my opinion. I would add shadow as well as highlights.

When you say you need help with color, do you mean the colors or the shading?

Man!!! You did that change in paint! :o I never knew it was so powerful. I use PSP but it leaves mis colouring on the edges giving it a really bad look!

Lost: I'm in South Africa, but I don't think you'd want to use our police as an example....hehe...

Opo: Wow, that does look cool...in MS paint? How'd you work around that palette? Heh, I'd love to use that, It just wouldn't fit in though....

OK, seen too many movies then... :-[

Most places I go the police cars are white with blue lettering (that is, most of texas is like that).  Except for of course your state troopers.

On Topic.
To emphasize the police nature of the bike, perhaps add a red and blue light set on the front, lettering police on there might not come out too well, but a siren and light set would give a good visual clue.

I assume he just painted the pixels individually.

And Zor: regarding the Paint palette: you may already know this, but if you double-click on a color in the palette you are taken to a color selector which allows you to generate a color from the millions available.

Hey remixor, why'd you double post? But yeah, I did know that about paint. I was just saying when you save 256 color bmp in paint, it has it's own pallette that it saves everything to. So usually when I use paint I work 24-bit and then import it into Gimp and index it, usually with 160 colors or something.  ::)

Fronz: Hmm, a siren...I don't think so, but I will get to lettering the words police on it. I am still going to put a poilce crest on that big blue patch there in the front...later.  ;)

Oops: I just realised something...Does that scooter look a little too big or something?
???  ???  ???

P.S. My first ever post with smileys in... ;)

A teensy bit. Which might be good for a police scooter.
It might just be a scooter, but by God you will respect its authoritah.
