Title: 2 Walk Cycles
Post by: R4L on Fri 28/04/2006 22:15:00
I recently have been shaping up on my animation skills and I decided to put them to the test. I drew 2 walk cycles (one plain, one detailed).

Heres the first, plain one, spread out frames.

Heres the walk cycle:

Heres the detailed one, spread out frames.

Heres the detailed walk cycle, first with standing pose:

Please tell me what you think of them!

Very nice work!  I did a small edit to show you a few areas that you could improve if you decide to, though it's already a more than acceptable animation.

1.  Reduced animation rate so all your effort can be seen.
2.  Altered arm motion to make his arms flail less in the back and move more smoothly.
3.  Altered leg motion as sometimes the legs would be much shorter in one frame than another and made the movement more consistent.
4.  Made his head rotate, though that's not really necessary.

Hopefully this will help you to make even better animations.
