Demon-knight

Hiya everyone!

I drew this demon-knight a while ago for fun. Please tell me what you think

He looks considerably mean and menacing, and I like the helmet covering the eyes. Sword and shield are nicely done too.

I would, but that's due to some bias and a much too long role-playing-game-jams-up-to-midnight-past, make his stance more exaggerated and proud. And some adornishements on the armor would be nice- shoulder pads, inlays, maybe wings. Plus, aren't the feet a tad small?

Um, ahem:

You used the wrong slash, and there are spaces between the URL and the tags.

Oh! You meant what I thought about the pic? I think he'd look better with some darker outlines. And his arm looks too robotic.

His head isn't in the centre between his shoulders. Maybe bulkier arms. I think the shield should be at more of an angle, the same with the sword. Also the the arm holding the shield is bending the wrong way, the way it is right now the shield is attached to the inside of the arm when usually its on the outside. I like the detail, but maybe work on the figure more before adding the detail.

I made a rough redesign to show what I meant by "elaborating armor".



Please not that this is a very rough design. I tried to copy your clean style and made black outlines so that you can easier see what parts start and end where. Shading and everything else are *sloppy* and will need some work on  but I think the breastplate is not too shabby. Hope it'll give you some inspiration.

Rix already mentioned that the angle of the shield and the sword do not really fit the front view. His horns also look a bit to big for his head. You could also leave his face completely black. I think it gives him quite a nice demon touch.

Well it did not turn out the way I wanted it, but maybe it can give you some ideas.


Edit: Ah yes Ghost's picture reminds me that I forgot to say, that a cape would be a good idea. The bad guys always have capes.
