Huh?
I don't get it... Inhale, exhale?
I'm reminded of "Machinehead" by Bush ...
Breath in ... breath out ... breath in ...
I like it. I really like it. Don't know why. This might be useless, but at least it'sa comment.
It's an awesome piece of art. But it's not really a comic. Not yet.
If you really want it to be a comic (and it doesn't need to be - it looks great as it is) it could do with some dialogue, or at least some indication that something is happening. Some sequence of events is taking place. Are the black spots going into the lungs, or coming out? Why are they going in there? What are they? What happens next?
Looking forward to see where you take this.
My first thought is that it's some kind of demon. You know, it inhales and exhales pure darkness, and upstairs it's in the sahpe of a head with horns. But, you know, I think I'll just have to third the "huh?"
This comic confuses me as well, though that's not the reason I'm put off by it. The dots that are shown look drawn and the x-ray looks real. Usually I think that's awesome, but for this one...I don't know... it looks like it doesn't belong.
It almost looks like it's some sort of reference to smoking. I could almost see it being used in one of those *truth commercials.

another. Also, thanks for the comments, they made me smile.

alternate version.
So you're not gonna tell us what it means?
I think it's some kind of joke.
I think it's awesome! :D
As this forum is for criticsm and/or help, what exactly do you want feedback on, the composition, the general effect, how confusing it is, etc?
I get even less then you chaps, because I can't even bloody see the thing. ???
Feedback: Say what you feel like saying.
The breathing comics: I left them ambiguous because I fear that if I make clear statements, they will come out cheesy or idealistic.
I had several thoughts, for example: I was thinking that the person whose lungs those are is in a sealed space defined by the black comic book edges. Whatever that person rids him/herself of lingers around.
I didn't have a plan when I began doing those, and I usually don't have a idea ready when I do stuff, so finding the true meaning would require some psychoanalysis or something.
Now for something completely different:

yet somehow similar. I get the point ;) Like it. But good for not repeating yourself.
Very interesting. I can see them in some modern art exhibition, scaled up on huge light-boxes, :)
I got an entirely different meaning from the second set. I saw the lower person exhaling germs, the other person contracting them, and then the unfortunate germ-catcher, er, disappearing. It's like a weird way of illustrating epidemiology...but I do like it.
Sure, these are comics in the sense that they are sequential art that attempts to entertain or discuss some issue but they aren't comics how the average joe, like me, thinks of comics (like a comic book or a newspaper comic strip).
They are interesting pieces of art. I could compare them to some very famous pieces of art but comparisons like those are not apt and there is an undertone of plagiarism. So I'll just say that these pieces pay tribute to the pop art movement of the 1960s, though without the political or the emotional attachement that those pieces had.

I really enjoyed this one, great job. Love the style + colors.
I'm no expert in the English language, but I thought the last sentence was really heavy. Maybe try splitting it up? I like how the use of two boxes works in the first panel.
I am printing that one out and putting it on the wall near my turntables! ( I spin hardcore records) ;D
Wow, i mean, i was looking at the first ones you posted and i didn't understand what was going on. I haven't a keen eye for art whatsoever so i don't really care about what it actually means, because it looks like crap. I don't mean yours but just art in general and by art i mean the stuff you get in museums.
But this last one looks great and the meaning of it is great. It made me laugh and it's something i'd probably stick on a wall somewhere. I've got to say it's probably the only artwork i've ever really appreciated.
