The background isnt finished yet, I'm thinking of changing it a bit. Maybe I'm going to zoom in so the "camera" gets closer to the house, that way I can add more details. I'm going to post it when I have done some progress. (Of some reason I start to write about the development of the game) I'm working on it and I'm hoping that it will be done soon and after that the game will be announced and a website will open. And I'm also working on a....Samurai!

His pose very much reminds me of Guybrush in CMI. The bag provides nice detail too. Great work! You could add more shading, though.

I like the shoe suggestion, btw.

Thanks for the comments on my character!! He will soon get a new pair of shoes :D
Is there someone who know a good way to turn the character so he is facing in different directions?

Well I know this may not be the best solution for you. But I mirror my character, so that all his stuff is opposite.  For example switch the bag's position, make the hands face the other way(and flip them!), draw the back of the head over the face instead of having the face there.  That's a pretty good behind view(oh don't forget the feets & knees!).

As for the left & right views, those are harder at first but in the end you can do the same thing with one of those views like you do with the front/back views.  In the end you just really have to work on making the character look right in a facing/side view.  The rest is just a boring but easy process(to me it is).

Anyone that can give me some help with the shading?

Yellow is a Flavor

Kewl! He has a nice CMI-style look to him.  :)

Totoro

He looks cute, but I think he looks CHINESE not Japanese.  :-\ Or is he a foreign exchange-student being forced to work 26 hours a day in dirty restaurant kitchens to afford to live in there small-like-a-rabbit-box but expensive-like-a-mansion-in-Shanghai apartment?  ;D

Ahhhh!
I really need help now. I dont know why I didnt notice this before but my character is way too big! I need to make him smaller. The problem is that I dont know of a good way to do this without making the image look all blurry. Yes I could just redraw the character but I have started with the animation and have drawn alot of images so I really dont want to do that.

Assuming you're using Photoshop, just make sure the colors are converted to indexed, then you can shrink the picture without causing the blur effect.  You may still need to do some minor touch-ups after that.  If you need to, you can convert them back to RGB after that.

My friends keep telling me that the character looks likes he is chinese, not japanese as he is supposed to. What to do??

SSH

Give him a bandana instead of a hat?
