Ok, if some of you can remember, I posted my first, rather feeble attempt at tracing a photo a while ago, and as I look back on it now, I realize that a lot of the stuff I did looks really bad...
So, therefore, as a way of improving my skills, I did a new tracing of another photo, (Of the same girl, though...) and personally I think it looks better than last time.

What do you say? As always, I value c&c more than anything!

And, btw - Those brownish-gray spots on her lips and sweater aren't supposed to be there, it's the .gif compression doing that...

dont think there is enough contrast in the face

Ah, maybe so - I'll try adjusting it a bit.

The skin tone looks weird to me - a little too blue, maybe?  Also, the shadows are almost weblike.  Unless there's some looming menace, you should either use another gradient for shading or cut back on the shadow detail.  I like the piercing, and the feel of the piece is good.  Nice job.
The basis of optimism is sheer terror.

Hehe, I actually made the skin that colour on purpose, because I liked the way it looked... But you are right, it is too purple/blue-ish for a normal skin colour.

Hm... Ok,  I'll try to make the shadows less detailed....

the shaded spots are to light to be shadows. other than that, nice work.

EDIT: and the skin is to colorful on her throat...
Albert Barillé and Hergé, we love you
