The Faction

A very good walkcycle.  The biggest thing i noticed was that the feet stay the same shape throughout the whole animation. The toes should bend when the foot goes back and then should tip up as the foot is brought forward. Also i think there should be just a bit more movement in the shoulders, but the feet are the main issue.

Another thing to note is that the shading on the legs is crazy... especially the leg closest to us. You need to make the shading more stable. Also the head bobing is good, but it is just a little jerky.

The legs get very thin, but that may be a stylistic choice, so ignore me if you like :)

Much better than my feeble attempts . . . still, when has that ever stopped me?

The torso usually twists while walking.  So, rather than a side-on view, we should see some modulation (say, 15 degrees each way) while walking.  And the arms are, indeed, far too short.  As the shoulder swings back, we should see more of that side of the torso (particularly the chest).

There also seems to be something funky with the area where the jacket meets the pants - in a few frames, there's something decidedly odd going on.  (Perhaps the arm passing through the area which ought to be solid buttock?)
The basis of optimism is sheer terror.

Thanks for the feedback.  I have done some work to make the leg shading more consistent...I will be increasing the arm length as well but that will probably take me a while.  I'm not sure how the ankles and toes are supposed to bend....does anyone have any good reference pictures of this?  It's hard to tell from myself.  I'll think about the shoulder thing...I don't know...that one might be too much for me but we'll see.  I'll pos an update once I get through with these comments though...
