Okay, the scene is a basement of a very twisted mad scientist. The character walks down the stairs to discover the blood on the floor leading into the drainage system and a tray of medical tools plus a door with no handle.

The biggest problems I have is figuring out perspectives and the lighting, any advice on that sort of stuff is greatly apprachated(sp?).

And any advice on how to make it more, scary/mysterious is welcomed.

Before you start with any atmospheric stuff, you should really get the base down.

You're on the right path with the perspective. The walls and door match well, but the stairway, sink and tray do not. Make sure all things that you want in correct perspective (you may want the tray off centered) all go to one vanishing point.

Your walls also need some straightening. They're all sort of lop sided, and the back wall even has some "holes" in it. Use the box tool or the line tool.  Everything has sort of a blurry quality about it. It you're going for a vectored style, I'd clean up the edges of the tools and the pipe a bit. One things are cleaned up, it'll be easier to work on atmosphere and making it scary.
