This is for my game "Adventure Game":
I'm not quite sure about the way this looks...
Any suggestions for improvement?
I'd like it better if you could see the monkey's face, even if from the side, rather than out of view!
Also, where's his tail?
Monkey butts would be directly connected to the legs, not like 2 humps in the middle of the back. You could check yourself in the mirror....or perhaps better not.
lol it's an interesting image, can i just mention that i think the hand on the monkey is wrong. You can see the indent where the palm of the hand is, so i presume were looking at the palm, and after sitting here and holding my arm out like an idiot, you'll find it's a left hand on the right arm.
id also change the colour of whatever guybrush is sitting on. Are you using a restricted number of colours for the game? Because i think your style would really flourish with a greater colour range.

Yes, but it's hard for me to draw monkey faces.
That's why I hide it behind the legs.
But I'll give it a try.

Crap!!!
I totaly am a idiot concerning anatomy!
But then again, I showed this image already some people and noone of them noticed it, so I guess it's not so stupid of me.
But I'm glad you pointed it out, I could have ended up in the final game!

I tried do draw it like this, too, but it didn't look much better.
But I guess, I will try it again.

Yes, you are right.
I noticed it already and fixed it!
The thing, Guybrush, or better yet, the Guybrush-parody is sitting on, is, by the way, a rock.
Maybe I can find a way to make it easier to recongnize as one.
So, and since it took a while, until somone answered to my post, I tried to help myself, and that's the result:
I revised the colors and the rolled-up sleeves and the monkey hand and feet, made the guy lanker, moved his pupils down, gave him sweatspots, gave his shoes clasps and maybe some other things I can't recall right now.
What do you think?
Tomorrow I will upload an image with your suggestions.
Alright, here is it:
And, what do you think?
Spank a monkey mon!
Guybrush weepwood is certainly taking a trilogy + 1 out of that monkey ;)
Looking good, I thik the but is too big do it like ir baboons.
Superb! They're right, the arse is too big now.
Other than that, I am liking it so much more now!
Thinks:
"Cool, I've influenced a part of this person's game!"
Your sure did!
You are so gonna be in the credits, now!
Yay! I've never been in someone else's credits before!
Your are welcome!
Sorry, I didn't have the time to go into the internet, the last few days, so I have to dig this thread back up.
I gave my monkey an ass reduction, and I hope, it's perfect, now.
What do you think?

The leg looks broken to me.
Now you're just being fussy krysis!
Well, maybe Guybrush BROKE the monkey's leg!
Krysis has a valid point, theoretically that leg has 3 joints, as its drawn as if theres a backside at the top, but plainly the backside is right above it.
true, but it's a cartoon. I could complain that guybrush has no nails, you know? Or no nostrils.
:)
Yes but I would also complain to you that cartoons usually have references to real life. There is something wrong with his right foot. It is of course his choice to correct it or not, but...
This is what I mean. You can fix the fingers too. I noticed they ain't the same lenght. That's ok I guess couse I ain't got a monkey around to check, but... the index finger on the left foot must be the same lenght as the index foot on the right one.
What the.... Krysis? What's wrong with you? The ass is actually growing again, and now, it looks like Guybrush is giving the monkey a friggin' prolapsed rectum, as the bottom of the bitticks is poking out PAST the leg!
Also, the right hand looks like it's turned around 180 (that line looks like the line you might draw to show the thumb crossing the palm, rather than a knuckle as I'm sure you intended).
The tail of the monkey also looks like you green-screened it in... the line is too thick and it looks totally like an afterthought (which, in fact, it was...)
And lastly... The monkey is Korean.
Yes... Korean...
It is custom in Korea, and many other eastern countries, to point with the chin, rather than the finger, as one beckons to a dog with his fingers...
I said all that to say this... The monkey's chin is jutting out TO THE EXTREME (i rock a mic like a vandal)... It actually looked more realistic and less forced when the monkey's head was down...
EDIT: I'm sorry, I have to say this...
You really need to work on your assmastery...

Errr, nothing's wrong with me. >:(
I was just trying to show how the leg shoud bend. I aint got time to draw asses and fix fingers, ok?
Hrmmm... Sorry , Krysis, I just thought it was funny. No offense meant. You're a better artist than I ever will be.
I tried to draw a little mock up of exactly where the ass would be if you hadn't ever changed the initial drawing. Note that the little line between the legs... which may very well have been the ass line if you hadn't drawn a complete seperate pair of floating, disembodied buttocks, makes them too far apart.

The pic on the side shows how the torso goes directly into the bitticks, and the bottom shows how legs go directly into the bitticks. It's a seamless, symbiotic relationship. The legs and torso share the posterior. Sorry about the quality, I'm at work and only had Paint and no tablet... :(
EDIT: I'm sorry, I had to...
This lesson in assmastery brought to you by Esper...
Well, I might not be an assmaster, but who wants to be one, at all?
@ManicMatt: No, Guybrush, not even my "weird" Guybrush-parody is violent enough, to break a monkey leg!
I'll try to find a way to make it look better.
@Krysis: Yes, you are right. I will adjust the fingers.
@esper: What do you mean, the line of the tail is too thick?
Is as thick than all the other lines: 1 pixel!
And the chin, well I realized it, but I thought, it would seem as if the mouth is grimaced with pain.

What do you mean, it looks "forced"?
And thank you for the lesson, but I already tried it like this, as you can see, but then the leg looked broken.
But I will give it another go!
Thomas, just to make sure...
You are aware of the double entendre (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=spank+the+monkey) invoked by "spanking the monkey", right? I mean, that is intentional?
OH MY GOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!Ã, :o
I HAD NO IDEA!!!Ã, :-[
THIS IS DISGUSTING!!!
No, just kidding!Ã, ;D
You got the gag, Snarky!Ã, ;)
Well, however, I finally made a new version of the image:
I tried to make the leg not to look broken, fixed the chin and tired to revise the knuckles.
Well?
That is the best artwork i have ever seen in my life!!!
Now get on with the game sheesh! ;D

I'm just trying to implement your suggestions! >:(
Besides, I already work on other stuff for the game, too! :D
Something needs to be done with the monkey's left leg. It appears shorter than the right one. Try showing a bit of joint and lengthening it a bit and it should look OK.
The monkey's right hand appears somewhat twisted. I'm not sure how that would be re-worked. Get some refrence art/photos and try again.
The man's left hand isn't sitting very naturally on the monkey's back. Again, get some refrence material for that one.
Aside from those small issues (Mainly perspective stuff really.), the image could really use some shading and highlights, though that's not exactly everyone's strong suit. I guarantee that with some decent shading, the depth of the image would increase tenfold. Remember, often times the time spent on an image will directly reflect in it's quality.
