:P I'm getting frustrated. i am currently working on the Game "Hangs Revenge"
heres the character i am currently using

heres one i drew in flash
http://img234.echo.cx/img234/68/hang9cn.jpg]
the problem is that it takes a lot of time to draw the picture in flash and then export it AND THEN crop all the pictures tothe same size. also i cant get the walking right
Try checking other walking animations to see what they have that you dont. Also the feet need to lift of the ground not slide, and you should try moving the arms.
In Photoshop, you can record an action that will repeat a series of commands over a bunch of files, suich as crop, save, close.
How, stuh??? Tell me! I've been cursing over this for two years now! I even thought about writing my own program to do that!!!!!!!!

Use the actions command, you can record your atio then 'playback' on files.
Here's a tutorial on Actions.

Some tips when creating in flash and in general:
*Removing the outline gives the character a funky look, but removes alot of the detail. You should be some what expirenced with shadows to do this. When colouring stripes and such(like on the pirate's shirt), the image looks less messy if you remove the outlines on the stripes.
*When drawing in side view, try making the arm further back.
*Also, perspective is always good.
Since I'm not really good at explaining these kind of things, I whipped up a quick example to show how this character can be improved.

EDIT(Yes I Can Do It Now!): I had a crack at that sort of pic. here goes

You're improving fast. A few notes:
1. Right now, it looks like his head is behind the body. Try giving him a neck, and make it a tad infront of the body.
2. Why is the colour outside the outlines? By the way it looks now, it seems like you first colour and then draw around.
3. The early stages on drawing with your mouse(or a tablet, for that sake) is always hard. Keep practising and you'll be making fine art in no time. ;)
