This is a wery rough sketch of my main caracter for my new comic that I was planing to put on my website. At first I tryed going for the manga look but I didn't like it. Then I went for the clasic look. But that wasn't any good neither. So I tried combining the two. And this guy came up on the scene. The Image is rather big so I only posted the link. Is there anything I could fix on this guy?

You could have resized it, cleaned it up and coloured it before publishing it here, just to show that you've put some effort in it.

Apart from that, it looks like an ordinary cartoon character, not very original, but not bad at all.
Now it depends much on how you "refine" it.

i started off play captain cleanup, then i played captian colour for while and came up with this:

not much different but a bit cleaner

WOAH. Slow down speedy. You see there's one problem. That I'm not the one that's going to do that (I actualy don't know how. I'm not an expert for photo and paintshop). Me and my friend hawe big plans for our website. I make the conept art and he cleans it up. I just wanted your opinion on the concept of the guy. Seing that you said it's not to original. Could you give me some ideas on how to improwe him?

Thanks for trying but that's not exectly the colors I had in mind. They are to ordinary. I was thinking of making the sleewes a dark grey. The shirt dark orange. The jeans will be the same color as you made them. The shoes are in fact just plain white so that they stand out more (seing the rest of the clothes are dark.. And the hair arent blond but a light brown.

Maybee I can make him a bit more mangaish if I change his clothes a bit. I'll post an update on sunday when I get home.

just a quickie, mayebsome kind of retro print on his tee would go well, add to the manga ish feel. also some highlights and lowlights in his hair. ooh, and the eyes. they are a big thing when going for manga. ill have a go later.

Netgraph, I think you're talking about "Pirlouit" in "Johan et Pirlouit", by Peyo.

The resemblance is there because Viktor's character is so generic that he could be mistaken for loads of already existing characters.

Actually this opens a great spectrum of possible storylines of mistaken identitites...

It was too tempting to play with him... (just a quick 15min. draw-over)
