Title: Avatar under construction
Post by: Apocalyptic on Sun 07/03/2010 08:26:03
How can i improve my avatar? i need ideas for a background. I originally wanted to draw a cathedral, but it was too dark. I think for my avatar to stand out it needs a bright background.

Shining rays of light? Lightning storm in background?

I disagree about it needing a bright background. Just add a rimlight around the edge to separate it.

I'd make the background transparent. The dark sprite would stand out perfectly in this bright forum.

I know you didnt ask for a paint over.. but meh.. i liked the sprite.

I am by no means an expert pixeler (or even a good one) so take my spriting advice with a pinch of salt

I like what I see but it ultimately feels like a black blob with a dollop of peach... I think some more contrast could help define the individual components of the costume/creature.
