I've finally started working on my first game made with AGS. After many failed attempts at background artwork, I think I've finally found a style that I'll stick with. C&C and improvement tips are welcome as well as paint-overs. ;D
This is the first bg and about the only thing i've done so far.

First of, I like it. The colors are not what I would've picked, but I would've been wrong.
What's going on to the right over there though? Is that a post (support) or...what?
hah, yeah thats supposed to be a post support thing. Really I just like walkbehinds ;D
That's a nice, consistent style. I like the colors, and I like how clean it is. I think the next place to go with the style would be perspective, if you're up for it. I know that can be really confusing at first.
If not, I think the style is functional enough as it is. I could see it working for a whole game, as long as colors, scenery, etc. are consistent.
As mentioned before, it's very clean. Kind of reminds me of the 1970s Battlestar Galactica. What kind of characters are going to be in the scenes?
I was thinking something like this... (i might change it a little)

I like this style of background ... very simple, yet effective!
I think it needs a little more dynamic shading. Something like this:

Granted I did this in about 5 minutes, but it's just an example.
Hope it helps.
Everything fits together really good. The character art isn't so pixelated as usual on thisd kind of attempts

Indeed! I rather like it. The colours fit together very nicely and the image is easy on the eyes. That big screen really attracts the eye, so make sure you actually have a use for it.
