I've decided to make a new game called "The Quest".
Yes I know, the name sucks really bad, but naming games is not the thing I'm very good at.
Anyways, I haven't come so far with the game yet, only idea for the story and a background.
The game is about a rockstar/guitarist-wannabe.

So, is it good, bad, okay, ugly, is there something that you find misplaced or anything like that, tell me.
(Oh, and BTW, it's not supposed to have any heavy shading, it's going to be cartoonish style)
the speakers look like they've been painted on the wall. Give them some perspective, even if it is "cartoonish style". Make their backs smaller than the fronts and show up part of their sides. Fill up the room as it looks kind of empty now. Since it is the characters room maybe a bed, shelf for books and CDs etc. And think up a better name :D

It's not the characters bedroom, but it's his guitar-playing room.

you have repeated the same problem again. The records(?) look like they are standing up instead of lying on the floor (as I assume they are meant to be). The speakers still look funny. hehe..The hero must play really loud music by looking at how broken down the room is

- the red + is the upper vanishing point
- the yellow + is the lower vp
- the green line is the horizon line
- the red lines are the perspective corrections
With this angle of view ... I might suggest removing the black foreground elements.Ã, They, to me, look out of place and more like shadows on the floor than objects in front of the 'camera'.
Maybe also take a look at some speakers for reference material.
And fix the door knob ... it's a little on the 'wonky' side :)

Yeah, it really helped. Now I can see what was wrong (was n00bish enough not to see it before. I should've made the poster a seperate layer... It's hard to edit now =/

Do you mean I should seperate the doorknob more from the door itself?

well, I switched the doorknob to the other side just because I always do that. I mostly just made the doorknob smaller. Your current one is very large. But, i would also recommend moving a little bit from the outside of the door, like I did.

I think you should make the quitar larger ,because it looks like it is as big as the door handle :)
And make the piece from the roof thinner...

The perspective s still heavily distorted from what I can tell.
While using two vanishing points could be helpful if the roof was tilting downwards (not sure whether it is), it s a bit confusing way to start to learn perspective.

I ve reduced it to a single vanishing point and drew guides to some of the objects.

By starting with the floor square you can see how much space it will occupy.
The same thing about the wall. By starting with the square closest to the wall you can relate it to other objects such as doors etc to make sure the height and width corresponds to the room in general.
I have an issue, though its not really about the quality of the picture.
Shouldn't there be a bed, or a wardrobe, or at least part of a bed?
not if it was his jamming room or practising space but yeah, if its a bedroom needs some kinda bed.

I meant that it was his guitar/jamming room, I'm gonna do his bedroom some other time.
BTW, I finally came up with a more decent name for the game,
Life of a Rockstar.
What do you think? Should I keep that name?
