These are purdy!!

Do you have any screenies of the character(s) you're going to be using?

These backgrounds are great, but unless the character matches it could really throw it off.

What did you create these in?  They look like water colors.

I like the colors/shading ... very well done.  Is that underwear flying on the flag pole?

looking forward to more.

damn good backgrounds...Everything seems to fit in perfectly in the style..maybe the landscape on the background could be slightly darker, seems a bit to faint to me....

good job!

thanks guys :)

hand drawn sketches, scanned and colored in Photoshop.

Yup I agree. the landscape is a little too light.  I was trying to get an illusion of distance... maybe went a little over the top though

it´s really not a part of a planned game.... I was just trying out my Photoshop abilities. I really want to make a game in the future though... just the matter of finding time for it. Maybe a good idea to start with the plot/puzzles before going crazy in photoshop ;)

thanks again

The shading is definitely one of the strong points. I wouldn't change the background shade in the first image. I agree about the background in image 2 being slightly over the top in terms of lightness.

Overall I like those pics a lot, though somehow they look unfinished, like concept art.

WOW :o!!!

That's really good photoshopping!!!

The only thing (besides the lightness) that disturbs me is the

color that's in the bottom-right corner. In the fence.

It seems a bit too dark, perhaps?

I agree with Erwin. The reason it looks right in the first picture and not in the second is that there tends to be more moisture in the air over a body of water.

ok..... made a character. Does it fit with the style?

Now the big question: How the hell should I animate it? Even in 640*480 ít´s going to be a pixel hunting nightmare in 10 x zoom mode... right? Why can´t we just have 1024*768 resolution in ags?  :P Any proggies you recommend? (I know my way around flash, but I don´t think that´s going to be useful for this task)

Yup! It fits! (Great character btw..)
Regarding the animation, I've heard Moho is a great tool, which uses the Moho's Bone system.

Haven't tried it yet though, but hopefully, it's good!
