Need help wirh Character...

I am currently working on a new game, most of the script and pussles are done. I have made quite a bit of "temporary" graphics but I just started making the real graphics for the game. I need some input on this fourth (or fifth) version of my main character. I have never really done any graphics on computer before so please be gentle .

I'm not quite happy with the side view and I feel he lacks a bit of "personality", whatever that means ...

Looks good, but you should give him a neutral expression instead of smiling constantly.

His legs stick out in the front view, but look like they are facing foward in the side view. I would say he has the figure similar to a woman and his arms kind of stick out as if he has wet arm pits and is holding his arms out wide (if you know what I mean) 
Other than that it's all good, keep it up.
