Eeps... I can't see the picture.

Perhaps you should upload it here:

Just throw in a good grey-type-fill for the wall, trying to avoid standard or monotonous colors if possible (Trying for a low-saturation blue or brick-red might lend it a little personality..  low-sat or it'll be garish).

Then, you might try with some generic shading.. just splashes of a slightly darker shade thrown in keeping with perspective could sketch this out a bit.  In my opinion, a picture's gotta have line detail or color variety out of the proverbial wazoo.

If you want it to look more scummy, you should probably add a little more scum.

Details like chewing gum on the road, scratches or grafitti on the wall or anything else you can think of can make all the difference.

I think a lot of the lines need to be sharper as well, i think that would pick the image up a bit.

Also, you can upload bmps to 2dadventure, but they won't display here. Add a link to it, however, & I'm sure some people will click to look at it :) .

Sorry for not putting in more effort, sorry for the whole pic actually.

I just wanted to show that I always though of Scumm style more bent and twisted...
