C n C on side view of my sprite

I'm having a hard time figuring out what isn't matching up between these two sprites.



Any help, or critique, would be welcomed and appreciated.

well in the side view his shoulder seems higher by a few pixels

And his hands don't line up....


Also, his blue sleeve things look a lot bulkier and 'fatter' in the side view, while his brown jacket thing (which I'd think would have bulked him out) is only 1 pixel thick in the side view (I'm checking from his crotch, which is almost covered by his hand). From looking at the front view, I'd think the brown jacket/vest thing should be less snug on him in the side view, especially at his chest area, which is currently just a straight vertical line, very close to his body.

In the front view it looks like his left foot is hanging back, while in the side view it's his right.

Also currently, you're using 48 different colours...doesn't look like you'd need more than 16, so there's a consistency problem there.

Looks very nice. I'll add a few more inaccuracies :)
1.Face expression - front view looks as if his dog has dies AND the right part of the mouth goes too low as if he has some defect. In side view you have a neutral expression. Choose one of both expressions and apply it on both views.
2.Pose in front view is...hmm...Looks like the guy did something in his panties ;)
3.Right hand in front view is somehow unnaturally twisted and smaller. Left hand looks too straight. Make a bend so that one can notice that there's a cubi :)
4.The only problem (big) that I see in the side view is that the guy is too flat at the front. No chest (yes, he is a GUY, so no need of silicon mountains but there should be something :)), no tummy (even a guy with board-tummy (don't know if that's the right expression) has some bulge there), no...genitals ??? Even the thightest underway can't flatten someone's penis that much :P

PS: Why does the guy have a necklace in side view but not in front view?

I don't think it's a necklace, I think that's supposed to be part of the lighter lining of the jacket.

Then it's too bright ;D Like down there on the spot where the jacket covers his bottom :) This light line isn't supposed to be there I think.

In the front view, he looks like a well-built chap - broad shoulders, big chest, narrow waist... but the side view doesn't confirm this. The front of him is straight up and down. His chest is probably large enough in the side view, but his waist needs to come in.

Even if he isn't as I have described him, his tunic comes in at the waist in the front view, but doesn't in the side view.

This mostly addresses the shape of his coat thing. At this size I didn't know how to show the right shape at the waist and chest without it looking too exagerated.

I made the coat pull in more to his lower back and protrude just a bit at the chest.
I used a lower shade for the "necklace" so it seems more like part of the coat.
Dropped his shoulders and the blue hood behind his head a little, and reigned in that blue sleeve.
Fixed his mouth on front view, and altered shading on both.

And while it needs work, thank you, kaioshin. =]

Also, I zoomed in more, but the game'll be 640*, so that's some thing I'm worried about as far as some details showing.

Think that pose he has really needs to be fixed ;D Right hand is still with a physical defect :) (<left>---------<right>) Nice that you've removed the bright lines. About his chest - add more lines (2-3 should do the trick). It still looks a little bit flat (expecially down there, where as I can see nothing's changed :)).

I tried adding more depth on the chest before posting this, and it looks like he's hiding balloons. The sprite's too small for that, I think. Same for his crotch. My attention went straight to his pants when I added something there. I fixed the hand. It'll be on the net edit.

I started an edit on the upper body, I was going to do the legs too. Just trying to demonstrate how to neaten everything up (i.e. colour count) and add some symmetry.

I think his pose will be a problem, it looks like he is on tip-toes or a jester or something...
