Looks wonderful. Rock walls are REALLY hard to do (I know since I've done it in my game), but you've made it look great! Nice done!

Nice and illustrative. Walkbehinds might be a bit of a b!tch tho.

Good to see tanglewood is still in production!

I like this piece as a piece of art.  However, I question the functionality of it as a background.  There's not a lot of walkable space ... will it be used in-game or as a cutscene of some kind?

Do you see what I mean?

The character (assuming he is the walking type) has very limited space to move in this background.  There's a lot of black space up top which could be removed (assuming, again, that you don't have plans for it such as bats hanging up there) and the foreground extended down.

Anyway ... just my first thoughts.  The art work is excellent!  I admire those who can create rocks and rock-like surfaces.  It's a problem area for me personally.

This is for a small natural forest cave, the only area transition is the front opening.  All the character has to do here is meet someone and talk.

I'm glad you all like it...but I did ask for C & C and it's not THAT good!  Luckily I am pretty hard on myself as it is...better?

well I was just about to give it some critique, but it looks like you fixed most of the stuff i was going to mention.  The thing that stands out now, is, you no longer get the effect of the roots because they are in the same region as the foliage.  I would add a couple more roots on the other side, and also, I think they should taper off a bit more.  It seems like they should be more whispy.

What?  Here's the entrance.  I'm telling you folks, the Wacom literally paints itself...took me an hour.

ok, I'm not sure how i was being unclear, but here's an illustration.  tree goes on one side,...root goes on other side.  It's just less cluttered that way, and more effective.

Hey, you weren't being unclear at all; I was.Ã,  The "What?" was my astonishment at my own efficiency.  Thanks for the pic though...that actually looks really nice.Ã,  I was having trouble getting that rootlike growth to them.

Having done the outside and not put a tree with roots hanging over, I think I'm just going to remove the roots altogether.

I have just figured out how to make custom brushes and I used it on the outside so I decided I better do that on the inside as well.Ã,  I have noticed a bunch of smoothing issues which I have corrected.

And Darth, you were right; there was no need to make the walkable area so crowded.Ã,  I moved it up some.
