Well, she is a nice 15 year old girl that has problems lately. A Werewolf is roaming in her neighbourhood and thats why she has a baseball bat. :)

I absolutely love it.

Two things I would add/change, would be to extend the drapes on the window to the full length of the window. It wouldn't make much sense to have curtains that don't cover the window, in my opinion.
Another thing, would be to add a silhouette to the front of the room, and add something that would go on that 'fourth wall' between the viewer and the room.

I also love the story ideas that youve given us just a hint of. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Wow, love the room! It looks very cartoony-stylish...(my favorite!) Nice color and decor. The girl is great, but looks kinda of dark. She doesn't look the type that would have all those "cutesy" things in her room. (balloons, "kiss me" poster, lavender walls, etc.)

But I love them both no matter what... looking forward to playing this one.  ;)

Here is a minor fix to the teens weapon: (http://home.oct.net/rharpe/teenager.gif)
(The bat is just not going to work for her.)

Looks great. I love the style.
There are just a few elements that seem oversaturated. Here's what I would do to tone them down:

Darkened the mat outline colour then desaturated the mat.
Desaturated the curtains.
Desaturated the blacks.

(I agree that the curtains should be longer.)

Did she trade her sword for a bat???
The life of a pirate must have got on her nerves. ;D ;D

Great room, it looks way better than the bedroom  did a while back, I like the jaggy shadows on the ceiling and behind the closet as it makes your romm look differant from other peoples. I agree with everyone else aboute the curtains.

I've just resized your pictures for comparison.

Yea it looks better, you've resized the curtains and you've added more objects and posters to fill up the room and add more detail. I also notice that you've took SteveMcCrea's advice on the rug. I like it.

I think the chair your referring to is that one over to the right of the screen near the window, she probebly moves it around the room to sit in differant places.

This image is off to a GREAT start!  I have made a few alterations ...

- added carpet to the floor and increased the contrast
- darkened the shading on the floor
- added hi-lights (armoire, curtains)
- fixed shading on the chair (was reversed)
- altered the coloring of the desk and night stand
- added a door
- changed outline color of the floor mat

Some things I would suggest:

- add base boards
- add foreground objects (as already suggested)

Also, I love the sprite of the little girl.  She looks a bit like the daughter from 'The Incredibles'!

Keep up the good work!

How is that?

That is REALLY NICE!!! but the objects on the front... doesn't it look a bit like the 4th wall was much farther away from the other room, if you know what I mean. Note that this is just for I needed something so that this post weren't useless. Really it doesn't bother me at all ;)

I think you've done an outstanding job. Very very nice.

The ONLY gripe I have now, is the mis-matched furniture. Yeah, it is possible for someone to get hand-me-down furniture, or you just buy it that way, but all the furniture here are of different makes. I would suggest that you hire a decorator to help give you some color matching, for not only the furniture, but everything else in the room. (To some extent, at least)

The silhouette you did is very nice. I would keep it as it is. You added some nice detail to it, it would be a shame to just go all-black with it now.

I agree... At least, she is a 15-year-old girl. Don't they all have a personal decorator? I guess what he really is after that the curtains, the blanket? (on bed) oh, sheets  ;D tha carpet.... they are as different as those in my room... She must have some taste for colours, some that she prefers...

Also, the teddy and the flag should be pink, expecially the flag! [this is where you realize it's a joke]... Get the point huh? cool

Great stuff. Just two things:
- AVG? Surely AGS?
- hard to believe that a 15 yr old girl would have an imperial walker model in her room.

She also has a baseball bat. Girls don't play baseball and you know it!

I am ofcourse kidding.

Here is the last version. 10x guys, I think its good now.

1.Like my room most of the stuff is gattered though the years, so the furniture is different. :)
2. The cup shows "AGS". :)
3.The "At-At model" is a silly gift from a boy who loves Star Wars and Dungeons&Dragons. You meet him in the game. :)
4. The Canadian flag just looks cool so the girl put it there. :)
5. The girl likes every shade of blue and purple. :)

Im off to make other backgrounds, characters and stuff. :)

The only thing I can think of to spruce it up a bit, is to put something out the window, kinda looks like a mirror with drapes.
but maybe that's just me :^D

to give some understanding to my 'personal decorator' bit, i was kinda quoting "men in black" but i was talking about toning down the color of the big dresser... but hey, I like the whole image.

Probably my last crit, is that the bedside table seems to not follow the perspective correctly. The [our] left side seems to follow its own distant perspective, but I would have it go to the left until you couldnt see it anymore behind the big dresser.
---
I hope that is not her stance when she is not walking. She seems more like shes about to do a ballet move, not relax into her own posture. I'm not trying to be mean, so please don't take it that way. Also, the green coming through her hair is very strong, I would rethink that.
---
And is that a "Asteriods are Bad" poster above the bed?

I love the room, however, I'd personally change a few things:

I think a more brown, or atleast painted (other than pea soup yellow :P) would look better for the dresser.  Also I changed the light fixture a bit on the ceiling, as it looked a little too industrial before (dark steel grey).  And lastly, I added some bushes or something on the other side of the window to give it something extra (as Joelman mentioned).

looks better, just one question. What is the black thing in the foreground near the bed? I like the bear and the mug  but the black thing looks weird.

Ok thanks, I kind of see it now. I guess I should have read the posts more carefully. I guess it looks alright, im just a bit embarrased at being a huge star wars fan and not seeing what it was.

What a great background.  :o
I love how it evolved!

Somehow the girl reminds me of Violetta from "The Incredibles" ... her hair ...  :)

So again ... very nice work!!
